There has been a great big whoosh of public palaver about the Bravo network show involving five homosexual men -- the Fab 5 -- who have busied themselves renovating, for a fee and in public view, the clothes, food, hair, skin and comportment of hapless heterosexual males.

This guy got a little nookay because of it, which is worth getting dolled up by a bunch of gay guys in my book.

Heck no, it'd be a lot more fun to kick their a**es, duly confirming my manliness. / sarcasm...

Obviously the dude was getting "nookay" from the babe long before the 5 queens came along. But you go right ahead and live in fantasy TV-land, where nothing real happens until a camera catches it.

I watched it with my wife one time and we laughed our asses off at the queers. Of course the heterosexual guy looked pretty much like a metrosexual. Those queers were touching him and stuff. No way would they be touching me, not without drawing back a bloody nub.

The ultimate target for PC. Straight, white male, father, christian, gun-owner, meat eater.

Because those you describe have, and will continue, to dictate terms to the rest, whether they like it, or not.

Despite some evidence to the contrary, true power remains out of reach for the fringe.

I have seen 2 episodes and thought it was funny. The hairy back episode was gross (but still hilarious)....I had not seen an apartment that filthy since college. Those queers are doing women a favor...and if a few guys watch and learn how to dress a bit nicer....have a presentable bachelor pad....and groom themselves....I am all for it.

The show I saw did not try to feminize the men. The makeovers were well done and the men actually looked more manly instead of like sloppy apes.

I understand that the prior term used in polite society was "pervert." Am I right?

"Those queers are doing women a favor."

You really think the 'made over' guys are going to stay that way? The real favor would be to get these women some psychotherapy so they can figure out why they keep picking guys they aren't really happy with or why they feel such a need to control and/or humiliate the men they are supposed to love.

"I think it's that it stereotypes hetero men as those who never "clean up a filthy apartment, pick up clothes, learn to cook a meal, get pointers on manners, dress with style, etc...?" AND that, my man, is what's degrading."

As someone who used to date alot....most guys in their 20's are slobs....once they hit their 30's and above they have usually lived with a woman & know how to do all the above. I have a straight male friend with a very neatm, tidy & well decorated apt.....most people women (and men) assume he is gay when they see it.

Laugh along if you wish.

You misinterpret - the gay aspect of the TV SHOW is a gimmick.

I would prefer that homosexuality were ignored, but this show is not the recipe for mainstream "acceptance" of gayness.

Wanna be REALLY offended? Check out "Boy meets Boy" - that show DESERVES the venom directed at "Queer Eye".

What does it tell you that both shows emanate from the same channel? Agenda, perhaps?

Supporting any of that bilge for cheap laughs is not worth it.

I think it was going to be one of those special nights when he got to keep the lights on, if you know what I mean. Seriously, I don't see the big deal. The show was funny. If it made my wife's day, I would let those guys dress me up, trim my nose hair, and "tame the unibrow" as my wife says.

Some of you need to really lighten up.

They got their apartments cleaned, new furniture and new clothes. The black musicians home was a mess. He lived their with his wife & child....it was disgusting. They made the place look fantastic. When things are filthy, it is hard for some to get motivated to clean....but when you start fresh, it is much easier to maintain the clean look.

My wife wouldn't want to get near me if I spent the day being primped by a gaggle of gays.

I think the frustration (for women) is that if she suggests he clean up his act (apartment, hair, body, clothes) then she is a nag and he turns a deaf ear.

But if a team of experts come in, he will listen. None of these guys act surprised at what they are being told, but they do act surprised when they learn the 'whys' of the make-over.

Like in, you woman will go wild when the apartment smells fresh and doesn't smell like dog pee.

Yup, from a purely objective standpoint, the results are positive, unless it's somehow a male sexual trait to live like a complete slob.

What is up with the homophobia around here??????? Am I the only one with gay friends????? Since when does being gay mean you are public enemy #1 to conservatives. A best friend of my wife and I is gay. Bigotry is not a part of Christian or conservative values in my opinion. Some of you really need to lighten up and be more tolerant.
