If I want to hang around a bunch of women, I'll hang around a bunch of women. Not men acting like women.
Sonds pretty normal to me - used to be anyhow.
To: najida
I think the frustration (for women) is that if she suggests he clean up his act (apartment, hair, body, clothes) then she is a nag and he turns a deaf ear. The general consensus here seems to be that real men shouldn't have to trim their nose hair, pick up their dirty socks, or shower more than once a week, and if women don't like that, they should find another man.
Forget trying to dispense advice to organize and pick up after yourself, especially if the advisors are gay, and thus automatically discredited from having any useful input.

Get off your high horse. It's not bigotry to reject the mainstreaming of homosexuality. There's a difference between tolerance and getting a kick out of gays supposedly showing straights how to live. If you're truly a Christian friend, your wife and you may want to point out how God repeatedly condemns the practice of sodomy.
To: xsrdx
I ee you're sinking to exaggeration to defend the gay lifestyle. Please refer me to the posts that celebrate being a slob. You really think gays are real men, and straights are all a bunch of apes?
Turn off the TV and witness the real world.

Why would anyone watch this crap? I'm with you. I honestly can't stand listening to women who go on and on about this kind of stuff. I am certainly NOT going to be listening to five semi-males whooshing through some guys living quarters. (I did see the finished product once, and it was a really dorky looking gay guy, except --- he was straight. So, the purpose is to make straight guys look gay?)
To: finnman69
I watch it. It's funny as hell.I watch it too, and find it funny as well. You're right about Carson being the star of the show, he is very funny.

Being opposed and even discusted by homosexuality does not make you a homophobe. Those are normal feelings. Having irrational fears about being 'recruited'or paranoia about a 'gay agenda' does make you homophobe and is a symptom of greater hatred.
The same types who refer to homosexuals as soddomites in a derisive manner to me is no different than men in white sheets and hoods insisting that all blacks are criminals.

These are truly strange times we live in-straight men being told to act more like queers (I assume that because the tv show uses the term 'queer', it's okay now???). On the other hand, to call someone a 'cowboy' is intended to be an insult. Weird.

to defend the gay lifestyle. Absolutely, positively NO WAY am I defending gay behavior.
And by definition, gays are not real men.
But assuming they have NOTHING POSITIVE TO CONTRIBUTE simply BECAUSE THEY ARE GAY is ignorant and reactionary.

I believe Spike Network (The Network for Men) is coming out with a new show in the fall - Itchy Eye for the Queer Guy...
Actually, they'd do better to have a show called Straight Eye For The Queer Guy which would show dizzy queens (like the Fab 5) how to behave like men so that other men don't avoid them.
It would be far more entertaining.

Au contraire, our shemale friends have much to contribute, as I've pointed out earlier in this thread. Broadway hits, lanscaped terraces on townhomes, American Idol contestants. However, it is a farce to think they should have any input whatsoever in telling normal people how to act or live. You think they would "tolerate" a TV show that dare mention anything remotely negative about their shortened lives?

I think we've gone round robin's barn with this before. You know what I'm talking about.

The Staten Island guido Port Authority cop with the really hot girlfriend on the show last night was definitely not gay.I found it very amusing when the cop last night was uncomfortable being around one of the Fab Five while wearing his underwear. With that pot belly and all, he thinks the gay guy (Kyan) is gonna come on to him? Ha, ha, ha!!! I could tell Kyan was annoyed that the cop assumed that, the cop was just plain nasty looking in his underwear.

If you're truly a Christian friend, your wife and you may want to point out how God repeatedly condemns the practice of sodomy. I have done that a couple of times with a dear gay male friend of mine. I've even referenced the relevant Bible verses. He gets uncomfortable when I bring it up, but he is a Christian and I hope I'm helping to plant a seed.

Wanna be REALLY offended? Check out "Boy meets Boy" - that show DESERVES the venom directed at "Queer Eye". Now that is a shwo to pissed about if you don't like homosexuals. Not to mention it's a very cruel premise (boy chooses among other boys for love, the twist, is some are straight)that exploits the emotions of a human being, gay or not.

"Settle down grandpa, it is 2003. And since when did being conservative cooralate with telling people how they should live their lives????? I thought that was a liberal thing."
Excuse me smartmouth, the very premise of this thread (if you're paying attention) was gays telling straights how to live. So what's your point again?
To: xsrdx
But assuming they have NOTHING POSITIVE TO CONTRIBUTE simply BECAUSE THEY ARE GAY is ignorant and reactionary. That sort of assumption is the defintion of homophobia.
To: over3Owithabrain
However, it is a farce to think they should have any input whatsoever in telling normal people how to act or live. From an objective, practical standpoint, these (straight) guys are better off after the fags leave than before they arrived.

"but when you start fresh, it is much easier to maintain the clean look."
A guy who is a slob is going to remain a slob unless he wants to change. His woman's desire to change him isn't going to cut it. If she didn't want to be with a slob, she should find a different guy.
