Chaos and cannibalism under Congo's bloody skies

'The soldiers had red eyes, and they were singing and dancing. They slaughtered the priest, cut him to pieces, removed his heart and liver and cooked them. The rest of the group had to pay money or eat the human flesh to be allowed to leave. Another four men, three women and three children were killed.' Among the dead was a pregnant woman who was gutted.
In Congo for the past 50 years tales of cannibalism have been apocryphal. Today they are a norm - what better way to sow terror into the hearts of your enemies than to instil the fear that they could be eaten?

France is in terminal decline. They cannot even muster the will to fight for France agains the islamic invasion, much less recolonize Africa.
China is the future. In our lifetimes we will see millions of Chinese in Africa.

What France dreams of doing and what France is capable of doing are not necessily in sync. Witness Napolean launching in Russia or the Maginot Line.

Africans have never been able to stop determined invaders. Never. The Chinese will not have our 21st Century guilt trips and squeamishness. They will take over Africa because the can, and they will. When the Chinese have a billion in China and 300 million in Africa, they will be THE world super power. America is just following France in decline, a few decades later.

There is no French Napoleon on the horizon, but there may be a young Chinese Lieutenant with such dreams.
Gotta go, off line for one week.
On the 25th I'll start mailing out the pre-ordered books.

That was only Debka Files BS, about imaginary Chinese Armies in Sudan.
But give them time, Chinese "aide workers" are already in several countries, plus "engineers" laying track and pipe and surveying the land.

It seems everywhere the UN goes, the situation degenerates rapidly.
One day people are going to realize the UN is the problem, not the solution.

but I just think that Africa and a lot of places are just lost causes....Much of the world was a lost cause before the gospel was conveyed and began its work of redeeming individuals and their cultures.
When there were Christians in Africa (the Ethiopian Coptic Church) in the First Century, human sacrifice was still being practiced in the British Isles and other places in Europe.
Africa will have its day in the sun when much of the West is under sharia.
May God bless and keep you, watchin, and your dedicated colleagues and may you have some wonderful experiences with African Chrisitians who really know what it is to count the cost.

The only reason for the West to remain in Africa, IMO is simply to keep Islam out. Islam, as a practical matter, would bring order more quickly (albeit brutally)but it would be an order with interests diametrical to ours.Good analysis.
More evidence that we are again in a Cold War.

Actually, the Chinese have already had a history in Africa during the post-Colonial period of the 1960s when they were "comrades" of the new nations.
It was Chinese engineering, and labour to some extent, which built the railroad in East Africa from Tanzania through Zambia.
They also have sent over building teams to construct showplace stadiums in several countries.
But as far as settling Africa like the Chinese in Malysia and Indonesia, they were beat out by South Asians from India (prior to its independence).
Not to say that that couldn't change but no sign of it yet.

""I wonder if other countries joked about the US when we practiced slavery?" What in the h________ does that have to do with what I posted? Multiculturalism HAS been attempting to teach people that all cultures are equal. I wasn't joking."
I really don't care that you have ill feelings towards me. What I was pointing out how you're making light of another country's culture. You clearly have no respect for anything but that in which you seem to practice. To you is the cannibalism they practice in the Congo really any worse that the slavery the US practiced not so long ago? Lets keep the answer free of personal attacks. You only expose yourself as a bigot when you do that.

I was not making light of another country's culture. If that other country's culture includes cannibalism I suppose that is perfectly acceptable to some people...I can't imagine who but perhaps there are some.
"You clearly have no respect for anything but that in which you seem to practice." Well, yes, actually I do have lots of respect for that which I don't practice. Cannibalism does not happen to be a cultural practice for which I have respect. It's loathesome to eat other people don't you think?
"To you is the cannibalism they practice in the Congo really any worse than the slavery the U.S. practiced not so long ago." Well quite some time ago actually. And, yes, cannibalism is far worse that the practice of slavery. I, personally, would much rather be a slave than be eaten alive. I wonder why you keep bringing up slavery in the U.S. Slavery is still being practiced right now in some countries. The U.S. had the moral clarity to realize that slavery was a terrible thing and to eliminate it. Unfortunately, slavery has been practiced all through human history and it is not only black people who have been slaves. Or perhaps you are not aware of that.
"You only expose yourself as a bigot when you do that." Oh, so now I'm a "bigot." Well my daughter and granddaughter are "African-American" and I'm a bigot. Okay. I'm just thankful to God that my ex-husband's people were brought here as slaves so that my daughter and granddaughter could be born here and not on that continent (Africa) which should be so very full of promise but which seems destined, despite all of its fantastic resources, to be plagued by horror.
