Actually, the Chinese have already had a history in Africa during the post-Colonial period of the 1960s when they were "comrades" of the new nations.

It was Chinese engineering, and labour to some extent, which built the railroad in East Africa from Tanzania through Zambia.

They also have sent over building teams to construct showplace stadiums in several countries.

But as far as settling Africa like the Chinese in Malysia and Indonesia, they were beat out by South Asians from India (prior to its independence).

Not to say that that couldn't change but no sign of it yet.
