BBC/NYT: Mr. Blair, do you have more blood on your hands?
[I'm sure the liberal media are working the talkingpointsmemo faxes overtime to connect this to Bush/Blair.]

Now Commissioner Kelly called the shooter "Okney."
Now I'm really confused.

The shooter's the 2nd dead guy. Talk about the wild west. Like a shootout in a saloon. Bloomberg says that from now on, everybody goes through the magnotometer, even Bloomberg. This was definitely a lapse by waving people off from going through the detector.
"We have lost somebody that we worked with that was elected by the public. It is particularly tragic, this death... it took place in City Hall... There are two people that are no longer with us." (sympathy for the shooter mayor?)
Now I know why Bubba was just on CNN, he'd love to run against Bloomberg for Mayor and now he's got a way to dog Bloomberg and plus Clinton's black.

The bodies of Saddam's sons are at a makeshift morgue at Baghdad Airport. Wonder what they are going to do with them. Maybe they should parade them through the street!

Opie?
To: hoosierpearl
For him to call for gun control in a case when the victim took out the perpetrator, that is a huge liberal stretch.Victim didn't take out the perp. One of the security detail attached to the weenie who's speaking now (Gifford Miller, my councilman), shot Askew dead.
It is a shame the mayor is a Repub.
He's not one, he only ran as one, BUT
I doubt Rudy would say something like that, at least I hope not.
Rudy is pro-choice and anti-gun, unfortunately. He's head and shoulders above any mayor this city has ever had, IMO, but that sure doesnt make him perfect.

I give up on the name thing. It's up to four.

Miller would shoot his mother for camera face time.

Do you think there were any police officers at City Hall in 1795?
Yet nobody back then ever walked into the council chambers and offed a councilman, right?
Anyone who enters City Hall (or any other public building, for that matter) should be allowed to carry a firearm. Anyone who cannot obtain a permit should not be allowed to participate in any activities at City Hall -- either as a member of the city council or as a member of the general public.

It's (Othniel Nathaniel Okney)(Bogz Boaz) Askew.
Do we know this is a Mr.? Davis didn't when he was running.
To: Catspaw
What's the confusion? Obviously his name is:
Othniel Boaz Nathaniel Bogz Clarence Askew

I forgot the Clarence. Sorry.
To: hoosierpearl
I didn't hear him call for gun control. Seems he's saying the sensible thing, which is that the reason (aside from the shooter's anger and motives) this happened is because security was lax. And making everyone walk through the detectors is the answer.

Rudy is every bit the gun-grabber that Bloomberg is. If anything, Rudys worse in that regard.
Just one of the reasons I would never vote for Rudy for President, if he ever gets that far.
I hope he knocks Hillary or Chuckie out of the Senate though. Hes not wrong about everything, like they are.

My kid's comment on the 4 name Mr. Askew was that "maybe he wasn't such an Upstanding Citizen, which would explain why he didn't like Mr. Davis."

I was being facetious. Yes, all men have the right to self-defense.
But, you have to admit, a ZOT device would be pretty cool.
To: firebrand
I can believe that. When Bloomberg was speaking, he was right next to him and I mean right next to Bloomberg looking over his shoulder. I figured he was a bodyguard not the head of City Council. He was also figity.
Real turkey if you ask me! He wanted the mic so bad that Bloomberg turned to him and asked if he wanted to say a few words -- no kidding -- the guy couldn't wait!
