Looks like the Gen-Xers over at DU are at it again. Note the amusing "recommendations" on Amazon.com, such as Mein Kampf and Big Lies: The Right-Wing Propaganda Machine and How It Distorts the Truth.
How about we FReepers stop by Ann's page and show these merry pranksters just what a good old-fashioned FReep, is?

Thanks for the heads-up. Just went to Amazon.com and clicked on the "inappropriate recommendation" buttons. (Gotta give the DU'ers soem credit for a sense of humor -- a book about bulimea! I think they're jealous. Their hottest TV talking head babe is probably Susan Estrich).
My suggested recommendation was the definitive work on the whole subject that Ann is tackling here, "Witness", by Whittaker Chambers. If you haven't read it yet, you should.

I don't see any inappropriate ones now. "This house is clean." On the other hand, maybe I'm not looking in the right pages. Never looked at Amazon before. FReegards....

Scroll down to the "our customer's advice" section.
Inorder to knock those titles off, we all need to suggest the same titles. I recommend Dick Morris' new one, "Off with their heads".
Lets stick together on this one.

One of the best books to recommend to read in addition to Treason: Barbara Olson's Hell to Pay: "The Unfolding Story of Hillary Rodham Clinton".
ISBN #0895262746.

So much for that Freep for me.

Just finsihed reading TREASON. If you haven't bought your copy make sure you do. It was a fantastic read..... Just not long enough. Well documented, humorous, (the liberals will be furious) and to the point. You will want to own this one, not borrow it. Am already starting a reread. GO AC!

Actually, It would be great if people did read Mein Kampf. It would only reinforce what Anne says. People would also see just how much of liberalism is really facist in its roots.
DU reccomendations to read Mien Kampf would have the opposite effect of what they think. Something they would know if they had actually read the book themselves.

Those morons have been doing it for 3 days. She needs help. Give some REAL recommendations in addition with Treason...something like "Slander", "Useful Idiots", or "The New Thought Police"
To: Imal
As an "also recommended", I am going to suggest
The True Believer by Eric Hoffer and
A Conflict of Visions by Thomas Sowell. The former explains how ordinary people without evil intent (e.g., soccer moms) can be swept up into mass movements like The Left. The latter explains how people on The Left (i.e., those with the "unconstrained vision") can be evil
for all practical purposes even though they may consider themselves to be intelligent and well-meaning.
This is important because many on The Left who read Ann's book will say: "What is she talking about? I'm a liberal and I'm not evil!" Many who support The Left really are evil; but most are probably just useful idiots of a mass movement (as described by Hoffer) or just well-meaning intellectuals who overestimate the power of intellect and underestimate the Law of Unintended Consequences (as described by Sowell). These people who are not truly evil can perhaps be converted to our cause; but they need to be handled with care and not flamed indiscriminately. Such people may find Ann's book less threatening to themselves if they have already read Hoffer and Sowell.
(I'm only up to Chapter 4 in Ann's book so far, so maybe she covers this. She has mentioned in interviews that the traitors she is skewering are the movers and shakers on The Left and not, for example, the rank and file who don't really understand what they are doing.)

I just came from Amazon.... DON'T STOP WITH JUST THE TWO RECOMMENDATIONS THAT YOU RECOMMEND AS INNAPROPRIATE....
Click on the arrow by "See more customer buying advice" and there will be 20 selections that you can review for appropriateness.
Unfortunately you can only review one at a time and you have to select "Let us know if any of these recommendations are inappropriate" to give your input each time....
It's for a good cause. Do it.

Oh, my Lord, that woman makes me gag. I think it's her voice more than anything else. Horrendous.

I did the customer recommendation, but I prefered to use Hannity's book. Anyone else interested, use ISBN 0060514558 in the field to recommend it.
Amazon said it will take a day for the results to post, so we will not see the results of our FReeping until tomorrow.
