Help Me Fight The "Slandering" of Ann Coulter's New Book, "Treason" on Amazon
Today | Paul Klenk

Posted on 06/26/2003 10:20:38 PM PDT by paulklenk

As many of you know, Ann Coulter's new book "Treason" has jumped to number 2 on Amazon's Best Seller list.

However, those who hate Coulter and what she stands for are attacking her book, by using the "recommendations" feature at Amazon. "Mein Kampf" and "Big Lies: Right Wing Propaganda" are the only two choices being offered as recommendations. Of course, this is a nasty bit of slander against Ann.

Here is a link to Treason's page at Amazon.

There are two things you can do to help quash this effort:

1. Recommend another book. If we all start off by recommending the same book, it has a good chance of showing up. Feel free to recommend your own, too, but don't fail to recommend OUR choice: USE THE FOLLOWING ISBN NUMBER to make sure we are recommending the same item: 1400046610, which is Ann's book Slander. If you can come up with a better title, post the title and the ISBN number here so the rest of us can follow suit.

2. Let Amazon know that the other recommedations are inappropriate. Under the book recommendations, there is a link which says "Let us know if any of these recommendations are inappropriate." Follow that link and click "no" next the appropriate title, starting with "Mein Kampf."

Freep away in mass quantities, folks, and make me proud. You may run into some technical difficulties along the way. If you do, report back here and let's see if we can't share the solutions as well.

That's not the list we're interested in. The list you mention is compiled by Amazon, and objectively lists titles Treason customers have bought, and controlled completely by Amazon. What you should be looking at is "Our Customers' Advice", which is subjective, and is controlled mostly by visitors' feedback.

That list of books that buyers of Treason have purchased is not the object of this effort. That list has always been pretty good.

Scroll further down to the list of recomendations. That list has nothing to do with what people have purchased who also purchased Treason, it has to do with Amazon customer recomendations. That list is being tagged by leftist/liberals and needs our help. You need to enter the ISBN of a good conservative book.

In post 14, I recommended this ISBN:

0971577919

It is the ISBN of my own conservative book series. There are many other very good numbers listed throughout the thread.

Best Fregards.

Jeff

While you all are playing games, the Supreme Court has been busy at work and has legalized sodomy; in the same way they legalized virtual child porn and abortion. Legalized marriage between two gays isn't that far off. And what's next after that? All of this silliness is a waste of time.

I posted my review of Treason on Amazon last night.

Check and see if you can find a review by "Scott McLeod" there.

They may not publish it at all.

-- As I feared, Amazon has not posted my review of "Treason" yet.

-- Posted last night; I doubt if it will ever be published there.

-- I noted the "other" books posted by the Annie haters who are quite bitter and nasty in their reviews of "Treason" and of Anne Coulter personally. Saw many references to slim personal appearance, blondness, etc. I can imagine their looks!

-- I imagine Hillary's goon squads and professional political ops swarmed Amazon.

-- I would not put it past people at (Carly) Simple & Shyster to be recruiting these scumbags or the DNC emailing out sample scripts to post from.

-- Not that any of Hillary's huge (Whoops!) staff would be spending US taxpayer dollars posting vile bile on Amazon.com reviews of Treason, Slander and all the many Conservative top-selling books.

-- I noted one lib poster complained about "another in the long list of Conservative author's best sellers".

"Don't get all frazzeled up by the negative comments and Mein Kempf rhetoric.

Mein Kampf was used for Ann C's book because the first recommendation for Hillarys fiction at amazon was "Mein Kampf". There are no originals on the left!

So who does Mein Kampf apply to? Lets see, Adolf wanted to conquer the world. Does Coulter want to enter politics and conquer the world? So I guess that only leaves one other person with a great political ambition. 2008 America 2116 the world!

Same thing was done by dozens of Freepers for Hillary's book.

Should have expected this backlash. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Got my copy of Coulter's book yesterday and have read a bit. So far, it's her best book, well worth the time and money. Of course, I just like the lady's style in any case. There isn't a PC bone in her body.

Finished reading it this AM and have already started a re- read. It just wasn't long enough....left me wanting more. Hope she is working on her next book already

Definately: "it's her best book, well worth the time and money". It's going to get a lot of people involved. Lots of controversy! GO AC!

Really. What do you expect? As for Ann, she's the one who wanted to invade Muslim countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. Oddly, that's what they want, only backwards.
Ann is also a dreadful whiner about how media is stamping out her ability to communicate, for a bestselling author fueled by FReepers. It's pretty ridiculous. I'd even suggest that she doesn't deserve this kind of support.
Does Amazon carry a printed copy of the Federalist Papers? Tell people to read _that_ and not more screeching Bushbots. Compared to, say, Madison and Hamilton, I am very unimpressed with Ann. I guess I just don't like her simplifications.

Amazon posts all new reviews only about once a week (though not all of them). Check back there in 7-10 days.
