Good! (for you...I'm about to drop out...we have thunder-boomers coming through)...I'm going to sign off for awhile.

Thanks for all you do, Ms. Feather...the poetry, the banter, the beautiful images to go with your word pictures...

Our guys and gals should have no doubt how much we care for them, and appreciate what they do for us.

Hi Seven! I heard Rush talking about algore and his network. He had quite a laugh. He said they were all boring. That's why none of their talk shows ever last. Hahahaha! He also said that a lot of lies were being told about "THAT" book and how it is really selling, and the publisher knows it. Why am I not surprised? LOL!

...but that's why good writers need good editors!!!

Warning: All posts here are unedited first drafts!

I'm assuming you're applying the "good" adjective to yours truly. I certainly hope so 'cause I really need that today! (After jumping through hoops and rewriting the book proposal three times because of editor switches -- and "shifts in our objective" stuff, I just got a rejection letter. The writing project was to have been a junior high textbook-style book. Granted, I know that I'm now in a bit of a pity party because of that rejection, but let's just say I now have a better understanding of how they're dumbing down the stuff intended for school-age children.)

There's also the part of me that wonders if I might have been doomed from the start. My initial contact with the publisher was about a series of books that are collections of speeches made by "great" politicians along with some commentary-style introductions to the speeches. While talking with the acquisitions editor on the phone, I asked if they'd assigned anyone to do "the Reagan book yet; I'd love to do that one." Her reply: "Why would we ever want to do a book about him?"

Bottom line: I just did a whole boatload of writing that I now know was for no pay!!!

Okay: Pity party over.

Dear Canteen,

Howdy! It's me, MoJo! Remember me? I'm the one with the fabulous tan and somewhat deranged?? Awww..now it's coming back! Anyways, I'm hoping this will post because my head is hurting. It takes me forever to post anything. So? I've decided to write to all of you in one little post. Just so no one feels unloved.

I just got done chatting with Bethy. She's okay! I told her that tomkow is in big trouble because he lost her. Then, as we both could imagine, he tried to blame on of us for his irresponsible behavior. THE NERVE, right? Anyways, Bethy has been sick. She's starting to feel better, BUT THEN the witch from across the street decided to come over and raise Hell because she thought that Bethy (Our Angel) slashed her daughter's tires. (Hello? Isn't that a male thing or jilted woman thing to do?) Anyways, she was making a big buffalo out of herself and then SHE HAD THE NERVE TO YELL AT OUR CANTEEN ANGEL, CONNOR!

Hello? Who the hell yells at an innocent 7 year old child? Needless to say, that's kind of gotten our Bethy a little upset. As you can imagine, our little sister is ready to unleash a can of well deserved whoop a$$ on the neighbor.

So? MoJo has decided to being a CAMPAIGN DRIVE to get Bethy the hell outta LOUISIANA. She's anxious to move to Texas. (What is it about that state? Goodness. LOL) Anyways, you can make payments by credit card, money orders, and paypal. Absolutely no checks. (Please! I know how some people are and you aren't sending me bad checks. LOL) So? SCREW THE WHALE and SAVE THE BETHY!! Help her move to Texas.

Um, yes! I worked today! Sad, ain't it? Outside of that, I've gotta make dinner. The kids would like to eat for some reason. Hmmmm...LOL! Anyways, I'll make it back on later. HOPEFULLY! (Please let this post! Please)

Before some anal retentive non-Canteen poster gets their knickers in a twist, I'm only joking about the campaign. I know how some people are and we don't need or want to go there. Bethy needs cheering up and I know that when she gets back in here..it will be fun for her to make the troops smile. And for us to make her and our troops smile. Ain't life grand?
