A silly superstition I had when I was growing up, during the time we lived in a trailer park in Odenton, Maryland, was that the bats that flew around the area at night would build nests in our hair if we were not careful.

Hi Lori...what a cute thread! Growing up, my best friends parents had a thing that if you hand someone a salt shaker you'll get in a fight with them (you have to put it down). That one has stuck with me...you should see me explain that one away!

It gets a little tricky with the all in one salt and pepper shaker...

Also, "step on a crack...you'll break your mother's back"
