Greg Jarret Dumps on a Hamas Spokesman!

Posted on 05/19/2003 11:41:39 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Greg Jarret just interviewed the spokesman for Hamas and he ripped into him...at times getting emotional. Now I've seen Greg's work before and I always thought he was a liberal? Has he switched teams? Or was this an acting job?

Greg "Sir you say Hamas stands for courage, but it does not. Hamas stands for cowardice in its worst form. I've been to your bombings and seen the ripped flesh of innocent civilians."

"Sir are you going to continue your reign of terror on the innocent civilians of Israel? Will you not be satisfied until Israel is pushed into the sea? Isn't it true you want Abu Mazzen to fail????"

I was talking with my NeoCon Jewish friend yesterday...and he summed it up quite succinctly...he said the Palestinians are too lazy to work on peace. That it is easier to be ignorant and blame Jews and the US, receive sympathy money from old Europe, etc. than to create a peace, share power, and work (WORK!) to build up a viable economy.

Wise words from a UCLA grad.

I love watching him rip into people - but my loyalty to David Asman is strong. He's still my favorite.

Is this the same G Jarrett from KGO-AM radio in SF? He was a reporter during Desert Storm and a friend/colleague of Lee Rodgers, before KGO purged its conservatives to hire future NPR freaks (unknowns like Malveaux, Krassney, Ward, Taliafaro, ad nauseum)..

You may be thinking of Duane Garrett. He committed suicide several years ago. I remember Lee Rodgers announcing it at the time. There's a short bio at www.as.ucsb.edu/kcsb/history.html, which is about another station he once worked at.

He was caught on the highway as a tornado raced by.

Up under that overpass. That is where he became famous. Much like Bill Kurtis in Topeka, June 8, 1966 when he said to radio and TV listeners on WIBW, "For God sake, take cover." the rest, as we say, is history.

"Anybody see him with that weird woman from Clonaid?"

I wish I had seen that one!

When he first came over from MSNBC, I thought he was just another pretty, articulate face ------until one interview when he challenged the interviewee and made his points loud and clear. I was stunned! (and delighted!!) It was about a Muslim marine, who refused to fight, and it was was priceless. He gave this guy no quarter and showed him for the disgrace he was. I was so impressed, I e-mailed the station.

Now I really listen to Jarrett! I don't know his politics, but wishy-washy, touchy-feely, he is not!

Poor little children. The picture reminded me of the child sacrifice cult of the Ancient World (the Canaanites) who offered their children up to their religion and their god. Our Judeo/Christian heritage believes that they are "entrusted" to us to teach, love and care for. I was always troubled by the anniliation of the peoples commanded by God in the OT when Israel went into the land. Now I understand it better. Their mindset is sick and destructive; to themselves and everyone around them.

I have to admit I always thought he was a lib over at MSNBC and when he came to FOX I raised my eyebrows a bit. Glad to see he is either showing his true colors or getting a clue.

He used to be on MSNBC and pissed me off to no end during Election 2000, before my house had access to FNC. I was just as pissed when he showed up on FNC, very stealthily, never a name tag to identify him like the others, although co-anchors, reporters, would say Hello Gregg. I remembered his sorry puss.
FNC can go so far, but I won't necessarily follow them. If he claims to be non-liberal scum now then I'd like to hear more about his ideological journey. But count me sceptical until then.

Died of an overdose of antidepressants. Her daughter said she just couldn't recover from the loss of her husband, last year, from brain (tumor? cancer?). Such a sad loss.

Well, this is refreshing! Jarrett came off as quite biased when he was at MSNBC during the 2000 Election. Maybe Fox is rubbing off on him just as it seems to have worked its magic on Greta :).

When Greg was on court tv, I suspected he was anything but a liberal. His actions here justify my feelings. Good for him, and so glad he left MSNBC!

My observations exactly....
How about he and Rita Cosby late at night (early mornings aorund 3am during war in Iraq) - did anyone see them?
Rita is pretty agressive or gets a bit overly excited to say the least...seemed to take over the show...
I dont think he seemed too comfy with her....
