White House to Sen. Byrd- 'Do It Again, Please' (USS Lincoln Complaining) [Excerpt from The Note]

One Democrat moaned yesterday as he watched the cable news programs replay hours of footage of President Bush on the carrier with audio about Democratic complaints.
'Im watching him get high fived and buzz the tower again,' the Democrat said. 'The White House should have thought of this controversy themselves!'
Democratic questions about Bush's jet landing made the front page of USA Today complete with the 'Fly Boy' photo that will have Mike Deaver smiling.
Along these lines, a Senior Administration Official told the ABC Political Unit 'The more time the President talks about defense and security issues, the more he hurts Democrats and reinforces the public's positive perceptions of the Presdient.'
'Do it again, do it again is our message to Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia.'
The Democrats are doing things to make their base happy, but alienating the center of the electorate.

I suspect the Byrd porkularity expenditures exceed the $7.00 that Bush wasted by taking the Viking to the USS Lincoln.
Maybe Bush should offer to refund the $7.00 if Byrd will refund the cost of his pork.

I tried and tired to get through to Lugar's office. My preteen daughter (who loves the ohone) tried too. When we finally go through, they were all out of tickets. :^(
I will try the local Repubs tomorrow morning, but I bet I'm too late.
After all the time I spent shouting at the television during the Florida fiasco, I sure would like see him in person.
Thanks for the idea.

I will never forget when my first grade daughter asked me what Presidential kneepads were.
Yes, it was quite a pleasure to explain "what's the big deal with the blue dress mom?" Oh my. How did you answer that one? After stammering for a while, I reminded my daughter of the kneepads her dad wore when he laid down the new flooring in the kitchen. "Maybe the president has some of those too." Well...I didn't lie, just deflected. Can you imagine Clinton laying down vinyl flooring? Can you imagine Clinton doing any work of any kind?

I think the tower he was buzzing was the Democrats' control tower. Could be figurative speech.

The rats are hurting themselves. My Mother, a lifelong democrat called this morning just furious at Byrd's remarks. She thought the President's visit to the Abe Lincoln was just wonderful. She said she is so sick of how the democrats are attacking Bush over every little thing! Whoo Hoo!

Forget whether it drives the duh people crazy. What about us ladies who really have a thing for a man in uniform, or in GW's case, jeans, tux, running shorts. Damn, he flat out looks good!!
And gee, maxine, my hubby gets his suits tailored for him, so I feel it is okay for our President to have some tailoring done. In fact, if he needs me to, I will spring for the $25 charge!

One has to admire W's strategy in dealing with the 'Rats. He simply feeds them all the rope they need to hang themselves. And the 'Rats are sooo stupid. You'd think they'd have figured it out long time ago. My guess is that they never will.

Stupid is as stupid does...
Just look at the Democrat "leadership" or "mouthpieces"...
Each and every one of them -- an embarrassment to any thinking person...
Byrd?, Gore?, Hillary?, Kennedy? (any and all of them), Maxine?, Sharpton?, Dean?, Kerry?, Dasshole?, the thief from Chicago? (any and all of them), etc.....
Name one, name just ONE decent Democrat in a leadership position.........You CAN'T do it!
The Emperor had no clothes, they are brain dead and exposed as losers. They are doomed... They are so pre 9/11..
They have been WRONG about everything - and squandered 100s of Billions on loser programs......
I hope President Bush continues his destruction of the bastards, and drives a stake into their anti-America and Constitution burning, socialist, ugly hearts.

I suspect the Byrd porkularity expenditures exceed the $7.00 that Bush wasted by taking the Viking to the USS Lincoln. Byrd owes Bush about $200.00. It took the S-3 much less time to get to the Lincoln then the Marine chopper would have taken. The $7.00 was a Per hour additional operating expense for the S-3.
I get a kick out of Maxine H2O. She called it the USS Abraham. And she is a congresswoman who is making our laws.
