50,000 SIGNATURE GOAL FOR THIS WEEK

With the war in Iraq winding down, and a new Field Poll showing that Gray Davis would be recalled if the Recall Election were held today, we here at the Recall Gray Davis Committee want to step things up this week.

We need you to really press to collect as many signatures as possible this week.

So far we have distributed over 350,000 Recall Gray Davis petitions. And many of you have begun to return your petitions to our headquarters for processing.

As of this morning we have approximately 61,597 processed signatures with thousands more to be analyzed and processed. We want to cross the 100,000 mark this week. With a total of 1.2 million signatures that we need to collect our first objective is 120,000 signatures, which will require us to collect in excess of 50,000 signatures this week.

So please don’t delay a minute more.

Go to www.RecallGrayDavis.com right now and download and print several recall petitions. Get those in your neighborhood or your office or club/organization to sign.

Go to areas where large crowds gather. In front of a grocery store. Out in a movie theater line. If you live in the Sacramento area you can go out to Arco Arena and collect tens of thousands of signatures outside the Sacramento Kings basketball game tonight.

And as soon as you have a few completed petitions, rush them to our office right away! Send all of your completed petitions to:

RECALL GRAY DAVIS COMMITTEE<
P.O. BOX 1445
SACRAMENTO, CA 95812

We are hoping that Free Republic members can be responsible for collecting 10,000 of these signatures alone!

"assume that Riordan was to the left of Davis on the abortion and gay issues"

ASS-you-and-me!

Those 2 issues had nothing to do with it.

Besides, who are you to stick your nose into California politics?

Thanks for the bump and the Hugh Hewitt link.

Day 2 of the push to 50,000 was great. We had a ton of press inquiries today and we fulfilled thousands more envelopes of petition requests we had received from mass mailings and requests mailed into our headquarters.

Yesterday was our busiest traffic day in the last 30-some days at www.RecallGrayDavis.com and we had over 1.93 GB used due to a very high number of downloads of the Recall Gray Davis petition at our website.

More talk radio appearances including KOGO and KPRZ in San Diego, KFBK in Sacramento, KFAX in San Francisco, KSFO in San Francisco, a new member of the E-Call network of pro-recall talk radio stations and/or hosts is KLOA/KRAJ out of Lancaster-Palmdale area. KABC in Los Angeles a few days ago. I'm sure I am leaving out a few.

We are really sustaining the spurt in monetum that began about 10 days ago! Full throtle ahead!!!

OK, OK. I'll send in what I have. I only have about a dozen signatures right now, but I'll send 'em in and start fresh.

I obtained four signatures today without even trying. Took less then FIVE minutes. Just keep a copy of recall petition and voter registration on a clip board. I am making a goal of five people per day!!! If we can get a thousand freepers to sign up five people a day seven days a week we can make this happen.

I think one of the problems for CA Repubs is they tend to get hugely outspent, and in CA TV ads basically decide the election. The Democrats are able to define the Republican candidate with their media spending. The last Gov. race is a good example.

Voters thought Gray Davis was worthy of a second term because they believed him when he said that he had the budget under control.

When, just weeks after the election, he admitted that the state faced a $34 billion budget deficit. That only proved that Davis knew all along, but lied through his teeth to the voters -- just to get re-elected.

If voters had known the truth, he never would have been re-elected. They expect shading of the truth from politicians, not bold faced lies.

That's why we have the recall in the first place -- to get rid of politicians who put special interests ahead of the people. Davis is at least as corrupt as the politicians beholden to the railroads when voters won the rights of referendum, initiative and recall.

Interesting.

Voters do tend to give someone a second chance if they show they have things under control (as long as the economy is under control, not tanking, this may keep Bush in office).

Garry South riciculed the idea that the internet could possibly be a vehicle for having a succesful recall petition. He's holding off on working for Lieberman or Edwards until he sees it as a past threat, he's going to be there a while, I think.

Gray will NEVER resign

Gee, that's what I was gonna say.

People who think Davis is rational...just don't know the man like we do.

Or, they aren't rational.

Can this be done on line?
Do I have to walk on water to get the papers to sign?

The people of CA need to ditch that pencil-necked, left wing dork/geek. The guy (for lack of a better word) is a zero. Who the hell elected him?

....It seems to me the GOP's strategy would be better to leave him in power, and continue to ruin the state...

I agree.
