Could someone please deal with these honest questions sooner rather than later.
1) What is the deadline date for counting the names on the
recall petitions;
2) Since all the candidates running for that office,will be on the same ballot, as the recall election,what is the date for them to declare and file election papers;
3) Who has more money than Bustamonte, (a Dem) earmarked for a possible run? (I heard 15 million)
4) Why would this BLUE state, vote for who ??? instead of a
high placed Dem?
5) How does the Ca. GOP recover, in the next decade if Bustamonte is elected? He could be the encumbant for the next 2 elections.
If these questions could be dealt with - I think a lot more people would get their clip boards dusted off. I keep asking, but get no answers! If we don't know the answers -
why keep pushing on a recall regardless of how much Grayout should never have been elected again.

Re
#1 - September 2nd is last day they can be submitted. Check the Q&A page for more details about this and other questions.
#2 - Not sure but will check Sec'y of State site, timetable info should be thee or at least say approximately. May be dependent on completion of signatures certification is what I suspect.
#3 There is technically no campaign, candidates names are listed on the ballot after having been submitted earlier, I'll work that angle a bit and see what I can find.
#4 You don;t remove a skunk and put a badger in its place. :-) We'll see who ??? ends up being, hopefully by July.
#5 - That's a track question, isn;t it? Cruz will never be Gubinor of California but he may be of Aztlan. Seriesly, Cruz has baggage.

thee=there
Just to clarify as I understand this process, the GOP can field a couple of strong candidates but they need to careful and limit their number of entries on the list of potential candidates. I hope 5 or 6 dems run and spread their votes around. Along with a GREEN, a RED, and who knows else will run as Indies or just as spoilers.
It is a winner take all so the guy or gal with the most votes win.

Awesome!
By the way - the drill seems to have worked. The last two days worth of mail were our biggest mail receipts to date! Thanks to every one who busted their @sses to make this happen!!

A Portion of yesterdays e-mail:
Today we experienced our largest receipt of signatures for any one-day so far in the recall campaign. A heartfelt thank you from the Chairman of the Recall Gray Davis Committee, The Honorable Howard Kaloogian, to all of you who have made this possible.
In the past few days alone we have collected tens of thousands of signatures. We will reach the 100,000 mark for total signatures collected this week.

Gray Davis deviously lied about the budget deficit and viciously attacked his opponent to keep voters from figuring out his horrendous record. So did Bill Clinton. I don't understand this recall business: your chance at a recall was last November and you blew it.
