Some of Iraq's top weapons scientists already have fled their country and are in Syria, from where they may seek political safety in France, administration sources said yesterday.

The officials said among those believed to have made it to Syria are Huda Salih Mahdi Ammash and Rihab Taha, both top scientists in Iraq's biological-weapons program. The administration sources said there are intelligence reports that one, or both, made it to Damascus.

You read my mind!! A combination of MOSSAD and MOAB will take care of Syria quickly.

I really worried about expanding the war into Syria for awhile there, but it occured to me this morning that it might not be a bad idea.

It would reinforce on these neanderthals that we will not tolerate terrorism any longer. Our forces are already deployed. It will save time and money to clean out the rats and cockroaches for once and for all. It might help the "peace process" in Palestine, once they understand that we are totally fed up with this cr*p.

I think the American people would support a "clean-up" program, and it sure would drive the French, Germans, and Russians nuts. What do you all think?

One administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said there are intelligence reports that Iraqi weapons scientists are seeking safety in France. Paris aided Saddam's nuclear-weapons program, helped build Baghdad's air-defense network and vehemently opposed the ongoing war that toppled the dictator.

The article doesn't say that France agreed to accept these weapons scientists, with or without a guarantee of safety from the US. I'm hopeful that the French will finally realize that doing so is not worth damaging its relationships with the US and Britain even further.

I would love to get our hands on Mrs. Anthrax's recipe and samples of it. We have enough DNA in our cases in the US, to track it to hers if we can obtain her specimens and they end up being one and the same.

I've always thought Iraq had a hand in the Anthrax sitution after 9/11. Even if al-Queda were the ones who mailed it, I still think Iraq was the country of origin.

Just a hunch.. Vets

Re: Syria

Time to re-assemble the Enola Gay, gas her up, and point her at Damascus.

Hmmm. Well let's see how serious the UN was about finding these chem-bio weapons. Will they ask France or Syria to turn these Scientists over for questioning by the UN Weapons inspectors?
I thought not

4th ID + II Marine Expeditionary + 101st Airborne + USAF + MOAB = the right thing to do [in Syria].

I must admit, I like your math.

The "wanted posters" came in the form of a deck of cards — this one with 55 cards, each showing a picture of an Iraqi fugitive. Saddam, who may have been killed in a Monday air strike, is the ace of spades.

I'd LOVE to have a deck of these cards, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!

The profits from the sales could go to military families who have lost loved ones in the war on terror, in Afghanistan and Iraq!

" Now, Syria is providing a haven to Iraqi Ba'athists, including some weapons experts." Where is the part where the French Embassy is working overtime to provide visas to the clowns so they can get sanctuary in France? I saw or heard that somewhere in this morass of "news".
