The on-going SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY held EVERY SUNDAY in VENICE FL from 1-2:30 PM got a great plug this morning on The DINER SHOW when I called PHIL PALEOLOGOS on WIBQ 1220AM. Phil broadcasts from a diner in New Bedford, MA and is heard in Sarasota and many other cities.

A few days ago, I had sent email to Phil asking him to announce our RALLY and got a response saying he'd be happy to do so but would also like me to call him.

When I called in about 7:30 AM, Phil was interviewing Ciff May, a Republican consultant whom I've seen many times on TV. I was on hold when May began to talk about the scheduled anti-war protest in DC tomorrow and how irrelevant it is now in the light of the liberation of Iraq and the toppling of Saddam's statue by the now free Iraqi people.

The timing was perfect! Phil then said that we have 'a great American' on hold who will tell us about a much more relevant Rally in Venice FL that will happen this Sunday!

It was a great opportunity and I was able to promote our RALLY in great detail. I added that we would be again distributing yellow ribbons to the passing motorists during red light stops.

Yesterday afternoon, I called ART CRONK on 1530AM and was able to discuss the RALLY with him. This is the third time I've had the opportunity to plug the Venice Rally with Art who broadcasts from Punta Gorda, FL.

I learned later from a friend who had listened that Phil read my email several times before my call. Here's what I had sent to him:

Hi Phil: You are heard on 1220AM in the Venice, FL area. We are getting more people each week thanks to your promotion. We are doing the sidewalk rally for the third time this Sunday. We will not hold the Rally on Easter Sunday.

Please announce this Rally to your listeners. Thanks so much, Julie in Sarasota, FL

VENICE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY

When: This SUNDAY, APRIL 13 at 1-2:30 PM.

Where: Rte. 41 Bypass & East Venice Ave. VENICE, FL

We wear yellow ribbons, wave American flags and carry signs to show that we support those brave men and women who insure our freedom with their lives.

We will be distributing yellow ribbons to the public to use as a visible sign of support for our troops. We hold this Rally at the same time and place every Sunday.

I urge anyone who can hear them to listen to both the DINER SHOW with PHIL PALEOLOGOS from 5-8AM weekdays on 1220AM and ART CRONK afternoons at 2PM on 1530AM.

Check your local listings to find their shows in your area!

Let's support them by listening because they support what we are doing and they help to balance out the liberal biased media!

I wish I could raise those radio shows in my area, but....fooey, I can't. Great work, Julie! Thanks for letting us know about them.

We freepers are faced with so many weighty and disturbing choices these days, listen to the radio, glue oneself to the TV, freep intensively on the computer, or attend to long-neglected household duties.

Guess which choice I eliminated for the duration, heheh.
