Leftist vomit-spewing fools like Johanna McGeary are going down to defeat along with their beloved Saddam. Revenge is sweet.

I think it was Patton whose unit was surrounded by enemy troops.
He said, "The poor bastards."
It seems like that is what we have here.

I think we should put little Saddam in an Iraqi zoo. Then he can sit and rock and blow kisses to the people who come by to stare at the monster.

Operation Quagmire. Love it.
If the press wants to see a quagmire, they need to come down to the local exhibit hall the day before a major show opens...They'll learn all about quagmire.

I'll add a couple to yours.
There is no mention or questions about the long ago mentioned contacts with Iraqi command. Recently these contacts are described as ongoing military to military contact. Last night a general surrendered in Baghdad. There are several other ranking officers in custody.
Special forces got to these guys months ago and plied them with money and promises. They have been nervously and anxiously awaiting the chance to become part of the New Iraq.
Our most effective weapons system may be ordinary US$.

So, what does the Butcher do these days to stay healthy and fit? According to Arab television -- CNN, for example -- he strolls along the streets of Baghdad, hobnobbing in broad daylight with folks in the city, in easy range of U.S. artillery and in full view of armed drones overhead. Not bloody likely.
The media hailed his public "appearance" as yet more 'proof' Rummy's no match for Saddam, except for one pesky detail: Saddam may be dead. No way to know when the film was filmed, unlike Live Rummy Pentagon briefings.

Oops -- did I mention how tanks with the U.S. 3rd Division pushed through impregnable Iraqi lines this morning, ending up right in the center of Baghdad? ;) "Reconnaissance probes" is how the AP described it. Regime change is what I call it. Reconnaissance probes took out thousands of the 'resistance' fighters, huh? Pretty impressive, eh? LOL!
Good job, JH2 ! Thanks !!!

Marines with bayonets were in the reeds, lunging at the fighters. Are we really poking them with sharp sticks? Have to wonder at this.

This is just another prime example of Slime Magazine is totally worthless as a news magazine.
I cancelled my subcriptions to Slime and Newsweak when they attacked our great Presiden Ronald Reagan. Slime and Newsweak then used many of the same verbal hate attacks now used against President Bush.

Does any Freeper know of anyone or any web site that has a list of predictions (analysis, worries, etc.) made by politicians, celebrities, anti-war protestors, world leaders, news anchors, talk show hosts etc. and the actual outcome?
It would be of great value to be able to have such a list which details:
1. When and where the prediction was made.
2. Who made it.
3. What really happened.
For instance, all of those who predicted the massive upheaval in the Arab world if we attacked Iraq. All of those who predicted hundreds of terrorist attacks in the USA and around the world. The list could go back years to show a pattern of being wrong about most everything when it comes to certain people.
A detailed comprehensive list would come in very handy in the weeks and months ahead.
The list could also include predictions, analysis, etc. that came true.
Any Freeper willing to do this, or has it already been done?

So what did this "failed military plan" of Rummy's achieve the first two weeks?Summarizing, 'failed' Allied forces, days into battle, "failed" all the way to the gates of the capital, Baghdad, suffering few combat casualties, compounding the 'failure.' Then, soon after, in operational pause mode, pounded invincible Republican Guard divisions to pulp, pushed through the 'Red line,' grabbed Saddam International Airport (renamed Baghdad International Airport), now poised to take the rest of Baghdad.
But there were other devastating 'failures,' thanks to the Rummy plan. 'Failures' like no Scud attacks on Israel, no humanitarian disaster, no Iraqi refugee flows, no out of control oil fires. And no wave of terrorist attacks here in the U.S.
Okay, okay, so Saddam, the media and the Democrats have had a couple of tough weeks. But hope springs eternal.
Scathing, powerful and true.
Thanks for this, and for all your other great articles.
