I wonder if it will be darker or lighter at 6:15 AM. Darker. Sunrise and sunset are both an hour later by the clock during DST.
I love DST. I wish we could have it all year. Sunrise before 7 AM is wasted for me. Without DST, sunrise on June 20 would be just after 5 AM.

I absolutely HATE daylight Savings Time. It's a WW II holdover, that should be done away with !
To: PetroniDE
Arizona does not fiddle with this, I am glad to say. We are on Arizona time.

Thanks. Perhaps I should do it now. Last year I went all through Sunday not needing to know what time it was. I was late for work on Monday.

In Arizona we don't have to fook with this, but it's a good time for this fire inspector to remind you all that DST is a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

why?
To: Dr. Scarpetta
I'm a creature of habit. DST distrupts my waking and sleeping.

I'm looking forward to it so I can take walks in the evening.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
LOL! I walk in the a.m., and DST interferes. I like to get up at 5:30 a.m., meet my friend at 6 a.m. She hibernates during the winter, and this sets her back.
Enjoy your evening walks. I also walk at noon regardless of DST!

No one saves daylight time-- end the lie!!
To: PetroniDE
That extra hour of sunlight's going to burn up my crops.

Time for a bump.

Not looking forward to the DARKER. It was light for a few weeks at 6:20 AM something.
To: PetroniDE
It's not nevermind for those of us living in states smart enough to realize daylight savings is dumb, we still have to change many of our VCR programs (anything unibroadcast on cable moves an hour). I sure wish our smarts were infectious. Moving the clock around twice a year is many kind of stupid.

Well we can tell that's not the case because the rest of the movie industry is doing well. A lot of factors killed drive-ins, DST certainly contributes because drive-ins need that night time and DST moves it later and eliminate a showing. But culturally we've just moved away from them. Luckily Tucson still has one and it seems to be staying profitable, there's no better way to watch two bad movies than in your car.

And with DST it's 6AM which, according to you, is still wasted on you. People that want more daylight when they get home should negotiate better shifts with their employer.
