FOX NEWS "OUTS" Protesters!
FOX NEWS | 27 March 03 | Self

Posted on 03/27/2003 5:52:33 AM PST by TPartyType

Just a few moments ago, the morning crew at Fox News was interviewing a wounded soldier from the Army Hospital in Germany and they showed him some footage of the couple dozen "die-in" protesters on Fifth Avenue in New York to get his reaction.

When they set it up, the reporterette said, "You've got to keep in mind, Sargeant, that this group is organized by 'Anarchists and Communists,' 'The International Socialist Organization,' and 'Psycho Therapists against War.'" All three reporters took a shot at the inane, professionally-organized protest and the sargeant just shrugged and said somehing to the effect of "well we're fighting for their right to voice their opinion; just don't take it out on the soldiers is all I have to say." Very classy.

Then good ol' Fred Thompson came on a few minutes later and they "outed the protesters" again! They showed his commercial and talked a bit about how there seemed to be as many photographers as protesters and that it was the same old crowd we've been identifying here at FR since February 15. Fred did a great job articulating why and how the American people should frame these "world-wide" protests. I really appreciated what they said because I've been trying to get the word out at my university. I hope the mainstream media starts to "frame the protests" the way Fox News did . . . (but I'm not holding my breath!)

Alan Colmes admission to being embarrassed at the protestors is also an admission to the fact that these protestors are an outgrowth of his party's liberalism and part and parcel to the lunatic fringe of the Democratic Party. I hope Colmes keeps on admitting his embarrassment, it's just fabulous.

It's frustrating when you can't get Fox. But isn't it good to know that as censored as they are in so many locations they still manage to blow the crap out of the other cable 'news' outlets?

....Yes, BUT, it was also scarey that all the people watching in the lounge, were getting dis-information from CNN, wish was the station of choice on 4 of the 6 televisions in the lounge.

We need to ask Alan Colmes to lean out the window and take a long look at the future Democratic Party.

"Lets also not forget, the right to protest is exactly what those solders are fighting for. Just because we might not agree with there opinion, doesn't mean they should not be able to express it."

"There is nothing in the constitution that says we cannot protest our government, economy or our leaders."

Sheesh, how could we possibly forget that?

You guys always enjoy deflecting criticism by answering The Question That Nobody Asks. I don't recall E.D. demanding internment, beat-downs, or even forced bathing. They're just reminding the folks at home who's footing the bill.

And from the responses, it doesn't sound as if anyone's too proud of the Sugar Daddy writing the checks. Heavens, why not?

It's fun to watch appeaseniks invoke the First Amendment like mobsters invoke the Fifth; despite the former group not actually being on trial. Persecution fantasies aside, skeptics just want the story:

Why are you doing this?
What good do you think you're doing?
Are you really funded by Communist and Marxist groups?

But sticking to the actual questions isn't nearly as fun as irrelevant, righteous posturing behind the First Amendment. It's kind of a twofer: avoid embarrassment, get to say "Constitution" now and then.

You have seen such ads? I have seen ads for "environmental" door to door money collectors. But not for the "antiwar" protesters. We really need to infiltrate. I hope somebody somewhere is doing that and can bring home the scoop.

Thanks ! Here is a related article, for those that haven't seen it yet!:

I was a naive fool to be a human shield for Saddam (MUST READ!)

Excerpt:

We on the bus felt that we were sympathetic to the views of the Iraqi civilians, even though we didn't actually know any. The group was less interested in standing up for their rights than protesting against the US and UK governments.

I was shocked when I first met a pro-war Iraqi in Baghdad - a taxi driver taking me back to my hotel late at night. I explained that I was American and said, as we shields always did, "Bush bad, war bad, Iraq good". He looked at me with an expression of incredulity.

As he realised I was serious, he slowed down and started to speak in broken English about the evils of Saddam's regime. Until then I had only heard the President spoken of with respect, but now this guy was telling me how all of Iraq's oil money went into Saddam's pocket and that if you opposed him politically he would kill your whole family.

It scared the hell out of me. First I was thinking that maybe it was the secret police trying to trick me but later I got the impression that he wanted me to help him escape. I felt so bad. I told him: "Listen, I am just a schmuck from the United States, I am not with the UN, I'm not with the CIA - I just can't help you."

Of course I had read reports that Iraqis hated Saddam Hussein, but this was the real thing. Someone had explained it to me face to face. I told a few journalists who I knew. They said that this sort of thing often happened - spontaneous, emotional, and secretive outbursts imploring visitors to free them from Saddam's tyrannical Iraq.

Sorry. But if you check the local paper I'm sure you can find an ad for "Activists"; it seems to be a booming industry. Call the number, or show up and I'm sure you'll be able to get your proof. Maybe apply while wearing a wire?

Best wishes,

Well it wasn't for anit-war activists, it was activists in general (maybe neighborhood activists?) They didn's specify what kind of activism they had in mind but were advertising $5-$6 an hour. I saw it over a year ago...the last time I was looking at want-ads. :)

I presume the presscorp there knows if ABC News reporter has left the area. If it was Stephie, it doesn't surprise me that he wanted to go home where it's easier to get a good haircut and a stiff drink.

Bump.

I only wish ALL the outlets would start doing this!!!!!!!!!!!

They always label Conservatives don't they?....."far-right firebrand X said today"....."right-wing conservative Y spoke at a meeting of religious conservatives and said"........

When are we going to hear Jennings, Brokaw, Rather, Blitzer et al. say....."Pro-totalitarian lefists gathered today" or "the spokesman for the Pro-Stalinist group ANSWER reiterated his accusations"................

Try to get your friends at the university to listen to Glenn Beck, he is nationally syndicated on the radio, very conservative, and was framing the protestors today, in exactly the same light that you have just done.

It is heartening to hear your report. God bless you and your colleagues at the university where you study.

You will find that many of your fellow students are ignorant or in denial regarding these issues.

The denial is due to years of being harnassed to the liberal bandwagon. When you are convinced that it is fun to pull their cart, it takes awhile to figure out that you're the donkey.

aye - but you miss the point - there is a difference between protest and organized groups who want the US to fall into anarchy - read the websites of ANSWER and others and decide for yourself - they are who FOX media says they are.

expose the left!

The SacBee will no longer respond to me. I have asked them why they do not out the communists/socialists when they interview them and put their names/quotes on page 1.
