FOX NEWS "OUTS" Protesters!

Just a few moments ago, the morning crew at Fox News was interviewing a wounded soldier from the Army Hospital in Germany and they showed him some footage of the couple dozen "die-in" protesters on Fifth Avenue in New York to get his reaction.
When they set it up, the reporterette said, "You've got to keep in mind, Sargeant, that this group is organized by 'Anarchists and Communists,' 'The International Socialist Organization,' and 'Psycho Therapists against War.'" All three reporters took a shot at the inane, professionally-organized protest and the sargeant just shrugged and said somehing to the effect of "well we're fighting for their right to voice their opinion; just don't take it out on the soldiers is all I have to say." Very classy.
Then good ol' Fred Thompson came on a few minutes later and they "outed the protesters" again! They showed his commercial and talked a bit about how there seemed to be as many photographers as protesters and that it was the same old crowd we've been identifying here at FR since February 15. Fred did a great job articulating why and how the American people should frame these "world-wide" protests. I really appreciated what they said because I've been trying to get the word out at my university. I hope the mainstream media starts to "frame the protests" the way Fox News did . . . (but I'm not holding my breath!)

Alan Colmes said he was embarrassed at what some of the protestors were doing, and saying. Alan said he was embarrassed when he saw a sign that said "Bush is the real Butcher of Baghdad" or another sign that said "I'll support our troops when they shoot our soldiers"

Lets also not forget, the right to protest is exactly what those solders are fighting for. Just because we might not agree with there opinion, doesn't mean they should not be able to express it. I sincerely doubt that many of our fine young men and women in the military are fighting so these protest can become destructive and violent. Stay tuned. If you examine the goals of the organizing groups you find that they want to shut down commerce, burn things, maybe bust up some stores, you know, the typical things anarchists like to do in the spring. These organizers have one thing in common. They all hate America, what it stands for, global trade, Just think back 2 years. These same organizers were having these gigantic anti-globalization demos. Ah yes this war with Iraq is made to order for the pros. The one thing they have always been able to do is assemble a bunch of "useful idiots", now they have the internet to help them. THEY ARE NOT ANTI-WAR, THEY ARE ANTI-AMERICA PERIOD!

Payback for the nasty way the protestors treated the Fox News Reporters! Shows how stupid the protestors are! They were getting alot of exposure for their protests and instead of being greatful to the media for giving them that exposure - they turned on them! I have to admit the media has been very good to the protestors and the protestors have spit in their faces. Time for the media to start exposing the protestors for what they are anti-American Communist Cowards! The media needs to tell the public just Who is organizing this protest with millions of dollars and this is just not some grass roots organization!

Fox News isn't considered "mainstream media"? Its owned by the same company that has put out such "quality programming" as "Married with children", "Celebrity Boxing", and "Who wants to marry a millionaire". Give me a break.
Are you sure about that? I mean REALLY sure???

You should post that as it's own thread.

They cursed them out and also kept pushing the microphone away when they were interviewing. One Reporter thought she was going to get hit by the protestors! She seemed quite upset by it! Thankfully they didn't go any further. They make me sick!

Lets (sic) also not forget, the right to protest is exactly what those solders (sic) are fighting for. Just because we might not agree with there (sic) opinion, doesn't mean they should not be able to express it. You may be able to find an isolated example here or there, but you have to admit that the overwhelming majority of posters here at FR support free speech and do not advocate the supression of the right to protest. All we are advocating is that the protesters be accurately portrayed by the media outlets. It is obvious to anybody who has access to the internet that A.N.S.W.E.R. is a Communist front group. Why shouldn't this information be included whenever A.N.S.W.E.R. organizes a protest?

Good grief! We all know they have a right to their "opinion", and we have the right, as does Fox, to MOCK it.
Second, it really is presented by mainstream media (ask the other networks if they consider Fox "mainstream") as "spontaneous" and about "peace" when it is in fact anti-American and communist in origin.

These commie-inspired "protestors" are really protesting against the US, our economy and leaders, but not the war. So, this isn't covered by free speech? Look, the whole point of the 1st was to force ideas to compete in the marketplace for support. It is just as much their right (job?) to protest the war as it is our duty to refute their arguments and expose their motivations.
Now, admittedly, the success of the 1st is dependent on an open media; everyone here agrees on the current situation, which is why this is the first Fox and Internet war.
Let them keep protesting Bush and the US, and let us keep exposing their motivations. Support is still over 70% - a few more succesful days in Iraq and it will hit 3/4. That's how you defeat homeland communists.

Lets also not forget that we are all in this war together. Even if you aren't on an Iraqi battlefield, 911 has taught us that the battlefield is in our own cities.
This campaign has at least two fronts against Saddam. The military action in iraq is one, the other is the political or "world opinion" (if there really is such a thing). It's true what GW said last year, "You're either for us, or you're for our enemies". In protesting like this, these people have exposed which side they are on.
How does it feel to realize you are being duped into fighting for a brutal dictator who tortures and kills his own people?

Do you really have a problem understanding reality? That is like saying Ford isn't a "real" car manufacturer because they put out the Edsel!
