Black Muslim US soldier is a suspect! ("10 U.S. Soldiers Hurt In Grenade Attack")

(CBS) Ten U.S. soldiers were injured, six or seven of them seriously, in a grenade and small arms attack at Camp Pennsylvania in northern Kuwait, reports CBS News Correspondent Mark Strassmann, who is traveling with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division.

Strassmann said the grenades were rolled into two commanders' tents at the camp. When officers ran from the tents, they were hit by small arms fire.

"From our reports it appears that a terrorist penetrated Camp Pennsylvania, one or more terrorists threw two hand grenades into a tent," said George Heath, spokesman at Fort Campbell, home base of the 101st.

Strassman said three suspects were being held for questioning, two Kuwaitis who served a translators and an American soldier described as a black Muslim.

The injured soldiers were rushed to a field hospital but military officials had no word on their conditions, Lt. Cmdr. Charles Owens said from Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar.

The military did not identify the unit of the 101st that was in the camp but said it had been in Kuwait for about one week. Most of the division has entered southern Iraq.

Separately, Strassmann reported, an Iraqi rocket fired at U.S. forces in Kuwait was destroyed by Patriot missiles launched from nearby Camp New Jersey.

The terror and missile attack came as the U.S. assault on Iraq gained steam. American and British forces besieged the southern city of Basra and pounded Baghdad with impunity. But tough fighting loomed for coalition troops as they pressed deeper into Iraq.

The phrase "black muslim" holds a different meaning than
"muslims who happen to be black". NOI is a hate-filled terrorist organization. I don't doubt that the government is monitoring them, esp. when Farrakhan takes money from Quadaffi (a terrorist). However, I don't feel that this soldier was a black muslim. I believe he was converted to wahabi islam,and like the pallie terrorists who dress like Jews, he did the same.

Who says who is and who isn't a Muslim? If the Black Muslims (NOI) read the Koran and say they believe in allah and are Muslims then why aren't they? Same goes for those who claim bin-Laden and the terrorists aren't true Muslims? Who excommunicated them? Who can say Shiites are real Muslims but Wahhabis aren't?

I read Mr. York's article and it points out that Mr. Gaffney NEVER provided further proof. Furthermore, the staffer he accused was one who NONE had problems with.

Instead, he now says the problem he was addressing was not Tulbah specifically, but the issue of poor political judgment at the White House. Nor have several experts on Islam and terrorism who are generally allied with Gaffney been able to point to any problems with Tulbah."

I don't see how 'black' is relevant in this situation. Muslim clearly is relevant, but I'm unclear why 'black' matters.

That's the way I feel ---how can having your mind filled with hate and bitterness make someone become black ---skin color isn't something that is chosen. I don't think anyone would have a problem with black Baptists or black Catholics in the army and if they did you'd have to wonder why on earth they would.

Unfortunately, York hasn't done his homework, as you should know.
On February 21st, the evidence demonstrating Gaffney's charge was posted here, to you, among others.

You, quite frankly, haven't had the stones to address any of what's been posted, thinking somehow that a repetition of falsehoods would bear scrutiny. Last I heard, you didn't want to talk about this issue, so I left it alone with you. Since then, I've opted not to get into the subject on FR while our troops are in harm's way, though if there's some relevant breaking story I might decide otherwise.

Again with the false premises. There is no attempt on my part to divide conservatives, but to focus a spotlight on the penetration of our political institutions by terrorist sympathizers, and their enablers. It's baffling that you would think conservatives could be divided over that.
