For Immediate Release - Freedom's Light

(Phoenix, AZ) With war all but inevitable, a group of family and friends who have loved ones presently deployed in the most dangerous places in the world, have launched a project to spread support for the military and denounce terrorism.

Liberty Belles of America, announced plans today to launch, "Freedom's Light," set to begin on Friday, March 21st. Americans around the country are asked to send a message of support to the troops by driving with car lights on during the day, and leaving porch lights on throughout the day and night until the war is over. It is likely that, given the 48 hour ultimatum given to Suddam Hussein to flee the country, the United States will be in the throws of a U.S. led invasion of Iraq by Friday.

Organizers are hopeful Americans will come together as they did following the September 11th attacks. "No matter what your position is in the Gulf right now, it is essential that our armed forces know that America supports and honors them," said Jerri Haaven-Pester, spokesperson for the group.

Liberty Belles is encouraging Americans to adorn their vehicles and homes with red, white, blue and yellow ribbons, and pin ribbons to their clothes beginning on Friday.

Liberty Belles of America formed following the success of the National Anthem Project, a simultaneous broadcast of the National Anthem on March 5th. More than 1500 radio stations across the United States, delayed their regular programming to play the anthem in honor of the troops.
