How stupid are we?

Please pause a moment, reflect back, and take the following Multiple Choice test. (The events are actual cuts from past history. They actually happened! Do you remember?)

10. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take out the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted to a crash by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by: a. Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Coyote, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd b. The Supreme Court of Florida c. Mr. Bean d. Nope, .........I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning former Governors.

Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other dunder headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense feel doubly ashamed of themselves. As the writer of the award winning story Forest Gump so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does

Hey, we're Republicans!

You really don't want to know the answer to that question!

In the collective sense? To the extreme. Sorry, but that's my final answer...

When you set up a system designed to drag the nation down toward the lowest common denominator, that's what ya get...

Good points, except that you can't screen for Muslim, it isn't a distinguishing characteristic and thus has no real merits. You can screen stereotypes and prejudice against certain methods of dressing, but that would be pretty easy to get around.

Same question was asked about conventional crime.
50% of all crime is committed by 3% of the population (black males 18-30) but we wouldn't want to profile them, that would be wrong.

Our President isn't going to like your attempt to slander the "religion of peace." It's only around 1% of Muslims who are bad apples/terrorists.....

....Unfortunately, 1% of 1.3 billion is 13 million terrorists.

You wouldn't want to profile them to the exclusion of those that commit the other 50% of crimes.

As I've said many times: Common sense has left the building. I've seen this nonsense firsthand and am sure those of you who've flown commercial airlines since 9/11 have, as well. MEM (Middle Eastern males) walk right on board unfettered, while 80-year-old whites and blacks are pulled out of the boarding line and made to take their shoes off, have their bags rifled through, etc. All MEM should be screened more carefully, plus random people from the remaining groups. It's plain common sense, but our government can't be bothered with things like that. Let's never forget that we changed the name of our war to avoid offending our enemies. Doesn't that just about wrap it up?

Nope, but I would want 50% of all police efforts concentrated on that 3%
