The group (A.N.S.W.E.R) is organizing a protest at the White House on Saturday, March 1st. They are calling it the "Emergency Convergence at the White House".

I have linked their release (do not want to take up space by posting their garbage) regarding their protest, in the hope that the D.C. chapter of FR will take note and prepare accordingly.

We need to show support for President Bush and our troops.

Who are the main contacts for the DC people (and neighboring areas)? They just announced this, so our side may not know about it yet.

The DC Chapter has applied for a permit for the Sylvan Theater on the south side of the Washington Monument grounds for Patriots Rally for America IV. We have several speakers already on board and plans are in the works. No porta-potty duty because there are permanent restroom facilities behind the stage and another restroom near the Washington Monument. What we need now are people to come out and stand up for the troops and America. The announcement of the rally will be posted tomorrow.

It's not really possible to organize a comparable street counter protest to these idiots. We've got day jobs.

So how about an organized counter protest along a different line?

I think we should respond by a renewed effort to show an American flag on every thing in sight. I know many people are, but there's always room for more. And its time to replace the old dirty flags we put up on 9/11

I took a trip through Parker Arizona over the weekend. And there are two huge rock spires along the road with big American flags on them. Obviously, it took some rock climbing to get them there. Quite inspiring.

I will be at our White House on this day-at some point. And I will be carry BIG SIGNS that can be read from the White House windows. And I will exercise my right to let my President know how very very much I support him and how very much I support our fantastic military personnel.

I cannot envision even one FReeper without an American flag flying. Nor can I imagine any FReeper not having a sign or two on their autos in support of our troops and President. The thing that kills me is that of all the people that should have a hatred for the U.S., is My dear Mother, you see she is a survivor of World War II, remembers the B52 Bombers dropping bombs in her hometown of Fukuoka, Japan and she also remembers the flashing light of the Atomic Bomb dropping on Nagasaki, but she loves this great country and our great President Bush - repeat she does not love war, but believes in peace through strength.
