Rampant Crime in South Texas?

By Austin Smith

United States - Mexico Border

TEXAS - Texans along the border are faced with a continuing and ever growing problem.  The continuous destruction of their property, theft, and burglary.  In any other part of Texas, all you would need to do is call 911, and the local authorities would begin looking for those responsible.  Now, suppose you caught them, and turned them over.  The authorities would say "thank you," and those responsible would be tried and held accountable.  That is, unless you live along the border.  Along the border, there seems to be an understanding among those in power.  That is, that if you are from Mexico, we'll let you get away with it.

Authorities in the border counties have rarely prosecuted illegal aliens for trespassing, criminal trespassing, destruction of property, theft, or even certain felonies.  Instead, they let them loose, or turn them over to the United States Border Patrol, who then sends them back to Mexico, so that they may try again tomorrow.

Currently, there are millions of American citizens in The United States from Mexico.  Nice, law-abiding, naturalized citizens. There are foreigners in this country with visas, and work permits, and permanent residents.  These foreign nationals are following the rules.  Then there are the illegal aliens who enter through our southern border, avoiding inspection, and avoiding detection.  They do not respect our borders, our laws, or our citizens' rights and property.  They aren't all from Mexico, however.  An increasing number of them are from the US's list of terrorist states.  But, most come here looking for a better life. Some come here to distribute drugs, and some come here to hurt Americans for what they believe in.

Those in Texas who are in a position to aid our border county land owners by enforcing the law, MUST enforce the law.  The residents can not afford to foot the bill for cleaning up the garbage left behind by the illegal entrants.  They cannot afford to foot the bill for fixing fences, and losing livestock day in, and day out.

What would you do, if tonight 1,000 people walked through your back yard, knocking down the fence, leaving garbage and waste?  Would you fix the fence and clean up the mess?  What if it happened again?  What if it happened every night for the rest of your life?  That's what it's like for some of our fellow Texans.

Support our fellow Texans and sign the "Border Security of Texas Land Owners" petition.  Force the Texas government to enforce the laws that we enacted.

Garbage left behind by illegal aliens.

I know of one small oil company out here, that hints it's employees travel armed to the southern leases.

Reports of trouble at some of the more remote locations.

It makes sense. You never know when armed smugglers will be breaching your fence. I for one, signed the petition. I hope everyone else does, too, and uses that little "Email Petition To Friend" button on there.

Isn't it legal in Texas to defend personal property against theft or destruction with lethal force?

Seems to me that a little self-policing may be in order for those folks.

But...but...this isn't happening, and if it is it's no biggie, and anyway it is California's fault, right?

Land mines under a few bushes along the border sounds like the start of a plan.

There's always the toe-popper improvised booby trap as well.

We should have the military protect our borders instead of being stationed in Germany, Japan, etc.

Cute Boris, but STILL NOT WHAT YOU ORIGINALLY SAID. Where's Aztlan? Where's La Reconquista? THAT'S the stuff I said ISN'T happening. Repeatedly and frequently I've said we're not doing enough to secure the border. Just because you DELIBERATELY IGNORE IT doesn't change my opinion. now stop pinging me if it has NOTHING TO DO with your original accusation (remember you outright accused me of supporting La Reconquista).

I think I'd be inclined to scour the dog pounds for dobermans ("dobermen"?) that I'd turn loose at night, dogs that I fed just a little less than they need to stay alive...

According to Texas law, deadly force can be used, in the night time. And a lot of this stuff happens at night. Shows that there is a lot of restraint among these Texans, putting up with what they put up with.
