This as an ACTION PLAN for PASSIONATE CONSERVATIVES to counter the lefts anti-war demonstrations using small groups of patriots to reach the most people:
(1) Utilize key highway OVERPASSES to get out our message. Anti-war activists are already using some of these bridges to display their banners. If so, monitor their websites to obtain day and time of their banner placement. Place our banners before they arive.
(2) COUNTER DEMONSTRATIONS include waving Old Glory (Rally 'Round the Flag) and holding large banner(s). Don't tie banner to overpass fence as this is illegal. You do have the constitutional right to hold your sign or flag----so far.
(3) Keep the MESSAGE POSITIVE. "Free Iraq" is better than "Whack Iraq". Notice the Lefts' message is usually negative with shades of dementia, e.g. No War With Iraq, Bush On Crack."
(4) Make BANNER large. Three foot high letters work well. Try using 15 or 30 lb. black roofing felt which is already 3 ft. wide. Use white paint-it shows up well.
(5) If MEDIA covers event, always reference responses to the War on Terror, and the Massacre on 9-11-01.
(6) If WAR WITH IRAQ starts, be aware this is the best time to counter the left, as they have already made their plans and will be very active.
(7) Form your own FLAGBRIGADE/BANNERBRIGADE for your own city. It only takes one person to start it, and our own Lafayette Flag Brigade of Lafayette, CA. can attest to that.
REMEMBER: Never ever forget the massacre on Sept.11,2000 by KEEPING PATRIOTISM ALIVE AND ACTIVE nationwide.Visit our website @ www.nevereverforget911.com for ideas.

Rent a crop duster. Load it with molasses. Fly a big banner behind it: "MALATHION". Bombs away.

LOL! I like the way your mind works...

I like it! Maybe I should have titled the article, COUNTER-DEMONSTATION WISH LIST!
To: Tigercap
That shouldn't be too hard. Most of them crumple like wet paper bags when they see we're passionate about our cause

Please go to the home page and click on "Join Operation Infinite FReep". We get in the face of the peace-niks every week. Read about our efforts and get great ideas of how to counter demonstrate with class and style.
Fresno, California. Fort Collins, Loveland, and Longmont, Colorado. Columbia, Missouri. All have very active FReepers holding Support Our Troops Rallies on an ongoing basis. We need more FReepers involved in this effort.

Make sure that you have someone experienced giving interviews with the media and who is articulate. This is very important.

Can't we just shoot 'em? :-)
To: flagbrigade
It helps to know when they're going to hold a protest. Check out
this site for schedules and links.

SHOULD WE SHOOT 'EM? YES, if you happen to have a camera that catches them in the act of doing something illegal or foolish.

Yes, I'm assuming we're on top of local peace groups and their own action agendas. In the S.F. Bay Area, for instance, www.lmno4p.com is a Oakland based peace group who puts up banners over Berkeley freeways every Tues. morning. Be sure and check local peace sites.

The left will be holding a big (they hope) protest in Pittsburgh Jan. 24-26. Details at
this site. Here's an excerpt:
"Since September the Pittsburgh Organizing Group, the Thomas Merton Center and organizations/affinity groups from throughout the region have been working on different elements of a regional convergence against war to take place January 24-26th, 2003 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This includes pog's organizing of a framework for large scale direct action against war as part of a larger mobilization that weekend. Groups are working together to put on a comprehensive weekend of actions and events. The events include: a large permitted rally, numerous teach-ins, forums, and other educational events, marches of all kinds, direct action, street threatre, 15+ hours of concerts, a vigil, a parade procession, radical cheering and signing, dancing, various bloc's, and many other to be determined activities. If you are opposed to the Governments militaristic policies at home and abroad there is a place for you at these events."

Yes, I agree with everything you said. "Freee Iraq" is not as appropriate as Support R Troops, or messages of unity. Be passionate, not political.
To: mountaineer
It seems countering masses of seething protesters in the street is not very effective most of the time. Howerer, small groups can get our message out to thousands in only a few hours. Here in the S.F Bay Area we can reach 8000 cars an hour during cummute time, and sometimes get radio and T.V. time to boot. Complaints are documented at far less than 1%.

Thanks for the heads up! hehehehehehe! Oh, this looks like it will be a LOT of fun!
I've been itching and this might be the scratch!
