Critical Election Day Ballot Security Issues
In the 2000 election, questions of voter fraud by our opponents arose across the country. Because of this, we are making it our job to ensure that our opponents dont get away with ANYTHING on Election Night 2002. That is why we are asking our County Coordinators in West Virginia to do two very specific things in addition to the normal all-day operations of our Republican poll-watchers:
1. Legally, it is necessary that one specific individual in every precinct in the State from each of the two major parties be tasked to accompany the ballot box between the Polling Place and the CourthouseNEVER letting the ballot box out of their sight. However, experience tells us that in many cases Republican officials have been derelict in this duty--allowing Democrat officials to take the box to the Courthouse unaccompanied. To remedy this, we are asking that each County Coordinator task one reliable individual to:
a) talk to all of the Republican Precinct Poll Workers before Election Day to remind them that no ballot box can go out of the polling place to the Courthouse without escort by a Republican, and
b) that this same individual station themselves at the Courthouse on Election Night with a checklist--to ensure that a Republican shows up with each and every precinct ballot box. Any precinct that does not have a Republican escort should immediately be suspect and open to possible challenge.
2. We are asking our County Coordinators to task one highly competent and reliable individual with a video camera and a tripod to set up in the tabulation area of each and every Courthouse in the Stateand to leave the tape rolling from beginning to end of the tabulation process. Past history would indicate that the Democrats who run many of the tabulation operations in many of the Courthouses have allowed the tabulation areas to turn into a party atmosphere, creating a climate that is open to abuse of the counting process. Our experience also is that the presence of a running camera almost automatically creates a serious and secure environment for this most critical of processes.
This same individual, or the County Coordinator, should inform Courthouse officials and/or law enforcement before Election Daymaking sure they understand that it is legal and right for us to do so.

I definitely have read something about it being illegal, but I don't know the circumstances.
Maybe someone can clarify it, because that's one of the best tools we have.

Gotta go eat something---be back later.
You may have created a new "Freep-Monster" with this one.....I have to take my shower now......

Please read #20!

I remember reading the same thing! Guess I should go check and see if I can find what it was. It would be great if we could videotape who goes in and comes out.
I wonder if it is legal if you stay outside the flags?

Your screen name perfectly describes the goal of all Republicans in November: Eternal Vigilance.
All your suggestions are good ones. How about this?
Remember the complaints in one of those FL counties that they couldn't reach a 'supervisor' or person in charge?
Have the local Republican party distribute a private Email address to 'spotters' in precincts where voter fraud is anticipated. The spotter has a laptop (and extra battery packs) and can Email questions to the local Republican headquarters. This would preclude what I suspect is a bogus excuse of 'the phones didn't work'.

"It is not true in chicago and New York NY. It is not true in lots of Democratic strong holds. " Nor is it true in St. Louis. We need folks who are ready to go as poll watchers in the city precincts, who are ready to stand up for democracy....and our republic.

This is very interesting, PK!
I'm going to make some phone calls tomorrow and find out!
I would love to videotape the counting process!

Wouldn't that be neat -- video cameras in the hands of Freepers at the polls and when the votes are counted!
I love it!

Mostly needed is to get judicial appointees through.

Mostly needed is to get judicial appointees approved that will enforce the will of the electorate in local jurisdictions. As a corollary, we need to ensure that the representatives that will help tip the balance to a conservative judiciary are elected - if such be the will of the electorate. As a corollary, we need to ensure the true will of the electorate is reflected in the poll results. As a corollary, voter fraud, which (truth be told) is a Democratic bailiwick, must be minimized.
With elections looming, it behooves us all to ensure they are fair and aboveboard.

That's something we can push full speed ahead!
Heck, stuff like that is what we're here for!!
We've got a meeting tomorrow of the Houston Area Texans.
I'll bring it up there.
Let's stay in touch and get this ball rolling!

Sounds like a winner to me! Let me know what happens at your meeting!
Enjoy!

Blush. Thank you.
I had an election official tell me it was illegal to videotape INSIDE the precinct because voting is supposed to be 'confidential'. However, there is a chasm between what the law says vs. how it is interpreted.

Excellent!
I also strongly endorse Little Bill's recommendation of lawyers on call. Voting fraud will need to be hit hard while it's in progress. And, both perpetrators and negligent election officials should be quickly hauled into court.
This all means a legal game plan to include notification of election officials and law enforcement involvement.
It's time to take the polls back for the people!

Kill all the Democrats. That wouldn't work--then they would be Dem votes forever! LOL

Just to give credit where credit is due--this idea was Jay Wolfe's.
Exactly the kind of brilliant mind we need in the Senate!

We need your help on this one, my friends.
