With strong afternoon winds blowing fires statewide (Oregon) out of control, firefighters gained little ground Wednesday as thousands of acres continued to burn under steadily advancing flames.

"We're losing the war," said Marc Hollen, spokesman for the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center. "And the enemy keeps multiplying."

Rep. Earl Bluminstupid, and Gov. Taxeverything will blow out the fires tomorrow during a "joint" appearance at the fire sites.

Yeah, but since all that comes out of their mouths is hot air, they'll just make things worse. As usual.

The good news is that once they burn, it won't happen again for at least 50 years. Not to mention that the haze thereby created may chill global warming a bit.

What's galling is that Clinton is visiting the scene of his fire crimes TODAY to fund raise for his clone running for the Senate!

Dragon thanks for posting this. LTG, thanks for the ping.

Locals should drag every enviral whacko leader out of Portland and chain them to Andy Kerr and the Green Enviral Poster Boy Governor. Then, drag them to fight fires until this fire season is over later when the fall rains come.

If Bubba made his appointment to Portland, take him too.

These watermelon envirals with their Druid Cathedrals, (we used to call them our forests) agendas have endangered a large % of Oregon's population.

Oregon's weak economy is at real peril due to this one two punch. We cancelled a trip up in the next couple of weeks that would have dropped at least $1,000 in local economies. The seasons in Oregon limits a large % of the tourist season to July/August. These fires could not occur at a worse time for people who depend on tourism for their businesses.

These water melons and their poster butt boy politicians are dangerous people to those living Portland not in a major city. Some cities could be in peril with some of these fires.

I heard the air tankers going over Eureka around 7 PM last evening. Radio news this morning says the fires are under control. I didn't catch where the fire was. Most of these fires happen a few miles east of Eureka in the warmer zones.

Tube, thanks for the report. Yesterday as the ocean breezes came in and joined the north winds, we had high smoke. It probably came from the fires NE of Crescent City in Oregon and on the Kali border.

1-2-3-4 punch. Loss of logging, loss of tech jobs, loss of last years tourism (due to the drought) and finally this years fires. Any questions left as to why we lead the nation in unemployment?

How much you wanna bet our northwest politicians and "opinion leaders" (read: leftist druids) will blame the fires on global warming, corporate greeds (gotta get it in at every turn), and the internal combustion engine, not on their own personal stupidity?

Please go to this thread on FR right now. You will see how incredibly dangerous these enviral fascists are to America. I talking about the ones in Congress like the POS :(Eco Fascist, Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Washington, in Congress tries to burn up the rest of America while fires are out of control)

This eco facist POS actually tried to advance his bill that would close more forest roads and put more forests in danger while the state below him, Oregon is burning up.

There is no room in Congress nor America for these dangerous Eco Fascists who advance the Green Agendas that can kill us or cost us our homes.

This left wing Eco Facist POS should be impeached and tried for endangerment of the American people with this agenda he was trying to advance:

Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Washington, announced plans to enforce President Clinton’s flawed roadless rule – which is in federal litigation – through an amendment to the Interior Appropriations bill. The amendment would have prohibited federal funding for forest management activity in the 57 million acres of federal forestland that President Clinton proclaimed as roadless in a hasty administrative order in the waning days of his presidency.

The amendment would have prohibited several fire prevention activities, including the use of backfires, which has been successful in saving western towns threatened by looming fire this season. The U.S. Forest Service has reported that more than a third of the land in the roadless area -- 22 million acres – is at moderate to high risk for forest fire during one of the most devastating wildfire seasons in recent memory.

This Watermelon Klown is so damn arrogant and dangerous, that he makes OBL look like a piker. Get him out of Congress now before he makes the 9/11 loss of life look small! This insane agenda could wipe out entire towns and cities if it had been approved!

Re the loss of tourism for Oregon. As you noted last year the drought stopped a lot of us from going to Oregon.

We went in September to the Oregon coast. Unfortunately for America, 9/11 happened. That emptied out even the coastal resorts. September and early October is the final time for the coastal resorts to make money for the tourist season.

Now thanks to the Eco Fascists agenda to make every forest and wildland into a giant tinder box, your poor state is losing millions of tourist $'s each day this summer.

Andy Kerr, the eco facists in charge of the Oregon Natural Resources Council and the eco terrorist governor poster boy must be really happy. A lot of people will probably be forced to move out of Oregon as jobs disappear at a faster growing rate each day.

Andy Kerr and the eco terrorist Governor are far more dangerous to the average Oregonian that the al Qaeda terrorists are. The al Qaeda terrorists take months, years to plan and to execute their acts of terrorism.

Kerr, the other Eco Facists in Oregon and their Eco Facist Governor inflict economic eco terrorism on the people who live and work in Oregon on a 24/7/365 basis.

Oregon residents are the first test tube massive Rural Cleansing attempt on a state by the Eco Fascists who hate humans living in their Druid Cathedrals.
