This is quite an amazing website. There are many articles, letters, and debates. Go check it out and send thanks to this very brave person. I'd like to thank the Freeper who provided a link to this site a few days ago.
I apologize if someone has posted this before. I don't have a good record when it comes to posting unseen articles.

I know many of you are pessimistic about it but I foresee the end of Islam at sight. I am not concerned of the ignorant mass of Muslims. The intellectuals of Islam are turning against it and it is the intellectuals that chart the course of the history not the ignorant mass. A billion ignorant Muslims can do nothing to stop the momentum that a few of their enlightened intellectuals who have turned against Islam can generate. They eventually will have to give in and follow their intellectuals or they will be annihilated under the pressure of poverty like Afghanistan and Iran. I agree with this diagnosis. 9-11 will be the catalyst for the ascendancy of the reformers, just as it has already catalyzed the barring of the doors in Europe. Bottom line: you don't tug Superman's cape and live.

The author has great points, however, he makes numerous statements that Christianity is
"illogical." Thank you, Mr. Spock----but an example of this thesis would be welcome. Christianity is not "illogical"--but truth itself.
Other than that--interesting.

Once the light of knowledge dissipate the darkness of ignorance and the fear of this revengeful monster called Allah is vanished, Islam will die a quick death. YES! This writer gives hope.

Great article!
I like the part about islam dying out. I can't say I'm happy about the conclusions regarding Christianity...but when one looks at how many people live by the tenets of Christianity, one cannot help but wonder.
I still recall when Charles, Prince of Wales, advocated a conversion of one of his titles from Defender of The Faith (an explicity Christian title) to Defender of Faith (a title meant to be inclusive of all faiths).
Let's be honest....how many people celebrate Easter as anything but an opportunity to hunt eggs?

This is quite an amazing website. I agree, and thank you for posting it. We have had the privelege, in our lifetime, of seeing the collapse of communism's credibility. The largest remaining visible foe of the Christian gospel is Islam. Could it be we'll see that bogey fall as well?
I pray we may be equal to the opportunities!

Therefore although the Christianity in the West, in the last two centuries, has been in demise it has managed to survive and perhaps it will survive for another two or three centuries. Could have fooled me by the bulging walls of my Orthodox Church. These nay sayers and detractors have predicted that the Church would collapse for 2000 years....lets see if they are still saying this in 2000 more. As for Islam, in the end, it will be the sword that weeds it out.

Islam: The Religion of Poverty
Although it hasn't been talked about much since 9-11, I've heard that in the early 1990's
some of the Islamic terrorists mouthed many anti-capitalism slogans...
making some of them sound like "the next Communists".

Great read! Many insights. Forget that the writer is not a Christian, it's just his take as a former muslim.

Interesting perspective but also rather sad at the same time. Clearly he's an educated guy who thinks "free thinkers" (those who espouse no organized religion) are the only intellectuals out there.... He calls Christianity "illogical" without saying why--ignoring the fact that "free thinkers" (those who were atheists and espoused no official religion)were actually the communists and nazi's who have killed more people by far than religious people, especially those calling themselves Christians, ever have.
I think he's wrong though about the immanent collapse of Islam--as he seems to think it will be overcome by intellectual "free thinkers." Religion for masses of people is only changed by another competing religion, or ideology. Christianity in Germany or Russia was overcome (temporarily) but ideologies of Nazism or Communism respectively--both political totalitarianisms which required loyalty like more than that of religion. Currently much of the West is dominated by atheistic materialism--which while not formally organized per se, is a strong "religion" in and of itself. Still, Islamic countries won't devolve from Islam into mere skepticism--the peoples there will believe in something--if not Islam, than maybe something far worse. Lets hope the light of the good news of Jesus reaches these peoples--now so enslaved in the chains of Mohammed.

While I'm skeptical of the author's faith in a few intellectuals over a billion idiots, this is good reading.
