Rats - YUCK

I have no idea why I woke up so early - but after watching stupid meaningless TV for an hour I finally got up and made coffee at 5:00.

Everyone is still asleep at this point - nice and peaceful!!!

Ahh! Coffee sounds good! We live in an old part of the city with lots of old buildings, and the waterfront is about a block away- so we get rats. A few days ago Taffy chased one out of the yard and under my mowing deck, which was real exciting- at least for her, as she regards them as a wonderful "big game hunt."

A couple weeks ago we had them in our laundry room. Dogs never saw them, fortunately.

Hubby used the air rifle more than once he caught one in a trap. Disgusting.

There was a fire three doors down from us and since the in between town houses are empty - they migrated this way - fortunately they are all gone now.

The house we have is an old Victorian pile from 1887, and I have spent years crawling around under it to plug all the "rat-access" holes that decades of remodeling punched in the building. Every time I plug "the last one!" we'll hear a little scrabbling in the walls or ceiling somewhere and I'll start all over again.

I encourage all to sign up as monthly donors. I did this last year and it's painless -- you can always increase your monthly donation!!! This gives JimRob a better feel for steady income. Perish the thought - but think for a minute if you didn't have FR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...now I am all bent out of shape for not finding my name in the registrar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-{)

Did I miss something here? If you are a monthly donor, please let me know.

By the way, I love your screen name.

Mine is for my Rottweiler, Bismark (Biz), who went to dog heaven on June 12, 2000 and is sorely missed.
