HERE'S WHAT VT DEPT OF ED WANTS PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS TO USE FOR TEACHING SEXUAL HEALTH TO CHILDREN:
The following is taken - word for word - from the website of the Vermont State Department of Education, Safe & Healthy Schools, Health Education Resource Centres, under "Sexual Health" approved resources for teachers to use in public schools:
THE NAKED BOOK: (book) By Kathy Stinson. Audience: elementary. Celebrates the joy of being bare naked to young children. 1986.
CONDOMS IN THE SCHOOLS: (book) By Kaiser Forums. Audience: high, adult. Addresses the condom debate on whether condoms should be distributed in the schools. 1993.
HEATHER HAS TWO MOMMIES: (book) By Leslea Newman. Audience: elementary. This is a storybook with easy text and language. Black and white illustrations about a young girl's experience growing up in a loving family with two lesbian parents. 1989.
SEX STUFF FOR KIDS 7-17: (book) By Carol S. Marsh. Audience: middle, high. A book of practical information & ideas for kids, parents, and teachers. 1988.
FILLING THE GAPS-HARD TO TEACH TOPICS IN SEXUALITY EDUCATION: (curriculum) By SIECUS. Audience: middle, high. This book was developed to assist teachers in addressing abstinence, safer sex, condoms, sexual orientation, diversity, pregnancy options, sexual behaviour and sex and society. It also provides teachers with background information and rationale as well as teaching activities and resources. 1998.
TEACHING SAFER SEX: (curriculum) By Peggy Brick. Audience: high. This manual advocates "safer sex" by providing lessons that actively involve students in learning how they can protect themselves. It is not a comprehensive sex education curriculum but rather a suppliment. 1989.
BOTH MY MOM'S NAMES ARE JUDY: (video) By Lesbian and Gay Parent Assoc. Audience: elementary, middle, high. This video is intended to be used as part of a training workshop by the LGPA for parents, teachers, and others who are interested in addressing the issues of homophobia in elementary schools. 1994.
IT'S ELEMENTARY-TALKING ABOUT GAY ISSUES IN SCHOOL: (video) By Women's Education Media. Audience: adults. This is a training video for teachers, administrators and parents. It provides an effective tool for desexualizing the issues. It drives home the point that the issue is addressing communities and how discrimination hurts people, especially children. It deals with the misinformation with which children are faced about lesbian & gay men.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION-READING BETWEEN THE LABELS: (video) By ETR Associates. Audience: high school, adult. Interviews with gay, lesbian and bisexual teens, their parents and professional outreach workers spotlight the difficult issues facing homosexual youth. This video covers social isolation, discrimination, violence and the stress of "coming out." Accompanied by 37-page teacher's guide. 1990.
TREVOR: (video) Audience: middle, high. The story of a 13-year-old boy, his emerging sexuality and his realization that he is gay. Trevor describes what it feels like to know that you don't belong and that no one understands you. Heightens awareness of gay/lesbian youth. 1995.
TOO CLOSE...FOR COMFORT: (video) By ETR Associates. Audience: middle. Drama, one teen overhears another has HIV. Explores their reactions, issues and fears around AIDS, homophobia and discrimination. Includes discussion guide. 1990.

Okay, I have to admit that I find this topic interesting. Even at my age I didn't know about lesbian men.
Obviously, if you are confused and feel like you don't belong, then you must be gay.
The problem is that these feelings are the very definition of being adolescent. I have seldom seen more blatant recruiting publicly avowed.
"Michael" a 3rd grade teacher who posts on teachers.net/chatboard boasts that 75% of primary grade male teachers are, as he is, gay."Bill in Conn" heads the Gay/Straight outreach program in his school. Teachers.net is worth a look. Scary people. No need to register to post.

for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.
And a personal note? The schools have no dam' business teaching this garbage, swill, & bilge to children. Parents and any decent adult ought to be outraged and demand an accounting.
The teachers, administrators, school board, and taxpayers all have a financial interest in covering it up. It's a perfectly diabolical system.
I ran for school committee in the town where I grew up. I talked about a lot of things that NO ONE wanted to hear about, except the kids who were trapped in the system at the time.
Unless of course you would like to see your child turned into a public school slut, pervert, bisexual, disease ridden zomby.
