I. FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL, News Headline Retrieved: "Physician's Consortium-Sexual Messages in Govenment-Promoted Progrqams"
Story: The Centres for Disease Control (CDC) is using taxpayer dollare to promote explicit and graphic "comprehensive sex education" curriculum for teenage consumption, according to a Physician's Consortium report released April 10. "Sexual Messages in GOvernment-Promoted Programs" describes the kind of messages and activities included in CDC-sponsored programs, some of which are promoted as "abstinence-plus."
The Consortium's findings were egregious enough that researchers preparing the report for publication found it necessary to warn readers sardonically that "the content of the enclosed report is intended for teens and may be too explicit for adults." Because of the sensitive nature of the report's contents, FRC has chosed to post only the introductory summary of the report.

FIRST PAGE ONLY OF PHYSICIANS CONSORTIUM REPORT, "SEXUAL MESSAGES IN GOVERNMENT-PROMOTED PROGRAMS AND TODAY'S YOUTH CULTURE:
While it is safe to say that most parents have the desire to raise health, well-informed young adults, it is likely that a great nuymber of them would be shocked if they know what was actually being taught to their children. In a review of the various "CDC Programs That Work," it was found that the concept of abstinence was typically only briefly mentioned, if at all.
Many "Programs That Work" promoted by the CDC have been referred to as "Abstinence-Puls" or "Abstinence-Based" education. Despite this benign name, a review of many "Abstinence-Plus" programs seem to be only thinly-disguised "safe sex" programs preoccupied with promoting condom use among young people.
In the typical "Abstinence-Plus" program, students are required to go to the store to find condoms, learn about lubricants (including "grape jelly, maple syrup and honey,"), and brainstorm "ways tomake condoms fun and pleasurable" (such as planning a special day when they can experiment). In tyhe classroom, students practice using condoms by unrolling them on items such as cucumbers or dildoes. The implicit message in most of these programs is that sexual activity by young people is both expected and accepted by society.
Abstinence is the only practical and safe way to prevent the sexually transmitted diseases and non-marital pregnancy epidemics. In the pages that follow, it can be seen that the information currently being taught to the young people in our society, whether in schools, outside programs or via teen websites and magazines, does a great disservice to the cause of protecting this generation from physical and emotional harm. --------------------------------------------------------- II. "CDC links to pro-sex teen site (blackline-small.gif)," by Robert Stacy McCain, THE WASHINGTON
A Federal web site features a link to the internet pages of "pro-sex" activists who provice teenagers with explicit advice about homosexuality, sodomy and masturbation.
Listings for "youth" resources on a Centres for Disease Control and PRevention (CDC) site, includes a link to the COaltion for POsitive Sexuality (CPS), a self-described "guerrilla sex education" group.
"If you think you might be queer, relax!" the CPS site urges teens, and offers this suggestion: "If you think you are queer, try to find a lesbian/bisexual/gay/transgender community centre near you, where you can meet other queers your age."
THe CDC site's "youth" links include the Advocates for Youth site, which promotes activism to overturn FEderal abstinence education policies.
A Department of Agriculture spokeswoman said yesterday the department would remove a link to CPS from one of its websites. THat site, www.cyfernet.org, includes "positive youth development" links to the sex advice site Go Ask Alice and to Planned Parenthood's Teenwire site.
"We are in the process of taking down the link to CPS," public affairs specialist Maria BYnum dais yesterday afternoon. "And we will work with the Cyfernet program office and the university partners to review the other sites and determine what the next steps are."
The Federal internet links have come under fire from the Physicians Consortium, a Pennsylvania-based public policy group.
Now as to your aversion to "anything and everything oozing down the Breaking News Sidebar", that seems a bit too messy, even for me...
Funny how liberalism has mad good bad, normal weird and left right. It will be the children who have been properly raised that will be the only ones capable of leading the next generations....keep up the great work!
The most common way for teachers and the school system to shift their failure to the child.
I had similar problems until I put my children in a Christian school--funny how those problems disappeared. They a better curriculum, made better grades and were happy to go to school.
Please don't. You and your family constitute the rare hope the thinking older generation has. Your analysis of the selfishness which produces the whirlwind we are reaping is exact. May God sustain you and your family in the face of Job's enemies and bring you honor as the ultimate reward.
Nothing destroys a little girl's modesty faster than this type of activity.
Since that time She, along with her older Brother, has been pulled out of that Government Funded Indoctrination Camp.
They are now being Home Schooled.
