"Finally the House of Representatives by a vote of 275 in favor and 137 opposed, approved the Section 245(I) of the Immigration Law that would permit millions of undocumented immigrants to obtain permanent residence with no need to leave the United States firs, and it is seen that measure would bring immediate benefit to nearly 500,000 of such immigrants who reside in the United States.
That section of the law makes it eligible for undocumented people to legalize their travel, or that their employer can do all their transactions so they dont have to leave the United States and for it they must pay the sum of 1,000 Dollars. The extension has been well received , but some lawyears , among them Jose Pertierra express that the measure might not benefit certain interested, since it only includes people who have presented/displayed their request of residence before August 14, 2001.
The Future of Millions of Immigrants
The highly praised war against terrorism, on the other hand, has brought about a series of unknowns and fears with reference to what the future holds for the undocumented immigrant here in the U.S. It is nevery stated with the real total of Latino victims and to the extent of the victims in the attack agains the Twin Towers in Manhattan, how many have died and for those that worked in that important business sector, and those that now because of this are unemployed because they have no real permission to work in the US.
They also are victims of the terrorism. Nobody is concerned as they are not figured in because they are illegal, but they have human rights and the right to be treated in a human way created recently to help people in this great tragedy, and the government of Bush must try to help them recuperate somehow.
Begin to harass nor persecute them any more.. The government of Bush cannot continue using the pretext of the fight against the terrorism to try to violate the Human rights."
More nonsense.
1. I think the original Hispanic language for North America should be reimposed on all Latinos before they are allowed to get a permanent visa to stay here. BTW, it's not Spanish.
2. These guys are illegal. They should be shown only the common courtesy of guiding them to the door.
The idiot writing the article should be concerned with how they are treated in their own country. They aren't citizens here and the only right they have is to be sent back home.
"Mexico is an incredibly important part of the futuro de los Estados Unidos.{what does this translate to? The future land united?} (Applause.) And the border, la frontera,{What does this mean? the border is not a frontier, it is a line you don't cross without an invitation} is a very important part of our relationship. It is essential that Americans understand the nature of this border.
I think it is rather he that needs to understand the nature of what a border is, and someone should take the time to clue him in on the meaning of sovereignty. Natural born Americans have a right, duty, and obligation to say enough and pull up the welcome mat.
We have a right to say no to being ripped off to pay for services for illegals and immigrants, we have a right to reject having to take up their tax burden slack, given their pitiful third world wages, having our votes negated, having our homeland Balkanized or turned into a third world flop house by people who have no desire to become American, and leaving our children to the whim of a majority that has no history here, or that has no liking, much less an understanding, of our Constitution.
Guns and who enters our home are not two issues to be yanked from our perrogative by silver tongued PC peddlers. Calling us names, nor slick speeches is going to do one single thing to change our minds about our God given right to protect ourselves on both fronts.
I like Mexicans, I have nothing against limited immigration. I have nothing against building the economy of Mexico within the limits of strictly controlled foreign aid. What I do not like is the attempt being made to make us feel that we all washed ashore last week with the rest of the newly arrived immigrants.
I am not an immigrant nor are we a nation of immigrants. Many of us stopped being immigrants about five generations back. We are educated, we have an obligation to future generations to guard the Bill of Rights and not risk leaving it in the hands of a uneducated majority third world population. I do not like the education that makes children believe that mean old European slave owners founded the nation, died out, left no offspring, left nothing worth talking about, there is no national culture here that might be better than the culture back in the motherland, and we all just arrived last week.
If the presence of terrorist in our midsts does not clue someone in to the fact that we are not a nation united but rather a nation that has not acted responsibly about who we leave the future of freedom to I have no idea what will.

We are not the descendants of immigrant settlers, but rather explorers.
Lots of difference!
Let's run a little test okay. We send all the illegals home and I'll join you in stomping every negative comment regarding hispanics among us.
That'll take about thirty seconds the first year and zero from then on out.
With upwards of eleven million illegal immigrants among us, I'm willing to cut Freepers some slack if they don't turn a phrase just right, or use the wrong word once in a while. Those who have been affected adversely do to this situation have a right to vent. Still, if I find someone trashing Hispanics in general I try to speak up about it. But it doesn't happen all that often as you well know.
Honestly, the plants grow stronger every day.

That tactic is not limited to socialists and Liberal Democrats. Even within the GOP, some RINOs who support Bush regardless of the issue or the general negative impact on the country, will occaisionally vomit this venomous nonsense on Patriots. Shame on them.
A good fictional vignette to recall was from "Rising Sun", later made into a movie w/ Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes. Some LA policemen were so afraid about going after underground Japanese yakuza crime or speaking up against unfair trading practices, because they would risk being called 'racist' by the LA Times and promoting an internal police investigation. Being called a racist for opposing crime.
It's an old outdated movie now, but the principles at work are the same.
By the way, folks, sorry for some of the typos above on the article. There are by the way more candid articles in Spanish which definitely show that while 245(i) is not EVERYTHING the illegals and their spokespeople want, they do support it as a positive movement forward. I think the editorial's title in Spanish said it all: "Buena noticia para latinos: Extencion de la 245(i)"
