A news report early this morning indicated that Senator Byrd had stopped this bill in committee...so it may never get to the floor with the amnesty provision. Kudos for Senator Byrd if he does stop this provision.

GWB doesn't seem to realize his pushing amnesty, considering the recent events and attitudes, is costing him more votes than he's gaining. Most non-scientific polls I've seen are running 80%+ AGAINST granting amnesty.
