I'm not speaking about not talking trash about Hispanics, I am the first one to point out some crap we do in this country, I am sick and tired of political correctness. What I am saying is that I hate hypocrisy. ALL of us here are immigrants, even the Native Americans that found this country. Some people think they are somehow more American than an immigrant that comes here Legally and becomes an American citizen. I also think it's funny how most of the people that bash "illegals" are the first ones to hire them to do their weeds or eat their hand-picked fruits. Believe me, Illegal immigration should be stopped but to say that you can somehow find all of them after they were able to beat the INS and ship them out is ridiculous. Beef up the INS and stop them from getting here rather than letting them get in and get established and then kicking them out. So let's stop illegal immigration and get ready to pick your own grapes and do your own front lawn, it's gonna get lonely here on FR, lol

Here is another example that this new extention is NOT an amnesty that will grant legal status to "millions" of Illegals: Among them, Jose Pertierra express that the measure might not benefit certain interested, since it only includes people who have presented/displayed their request of residence before August 14, 2001", this means that just a couple hundred thousand will be affected. If "Jose Pertierra" is not happy with this law than I can confirm it's not the law that will bring Death to the West!, LOL. These guy is a Cuban-American liberal sumb-bag lawyer that wants open borders and wants full relations with Castro. Now there's one immigrant I want to ship home today! LOL

There is a distinct difference between those who came here when there was nothing but forest, plains, buffalo, and the occasional indigenous tribe, and those who arrived to find the infrastructure in place, a hospital to birth the anchor baby, and a supermarket down the street. Pioneers built the country, legal immigrants filled it out, and illegal immigrants threaten to rip it apart.

Apparently you're frustrated about something but I'm having a devil of a time figuring just what it is.

Is it the fact that this is a nation of immigrants?

With all due respect, this may be true, especially if one or their heritage has built, battled, or shed blood in the name of, for, or on behalf of America's freedom. And this is also a matter personal opinion -- although one may technically become an American "citizen", these days, it may not necessarily mean they have become an "American."

Would someone please explain to this guy the definition of the word 'immigrant'? I don't know about all of you, but I've lost patience with some of these people. Some people have taken the phrase "nation of immigrants' and totally twisted it. NO, I am not an immigrant, I was born here. Sheesh!!!

I'm not an immigrant, being 100% Anglo/Saxon my anscestors first colonized the East coast then moved west conquering the land from aboriginal stone-age tribes in sometimes cruel heartless battle. Immigrants are the cheap help who show up after the dirty work is done. Not to put you down or anything it is just that I hate to be soccer-mom moralized by someone who flits about spouting cliches like, "We're all immigrants" blah, blah, blah. The Left is right in the fact that America was built on conquest, I know my anscestors did it and I have no squirmy liberal apologies to offer either.
