WHEN WILL AMERICANS GET IT????
3/3/02

Posted on 03/03/2002 6:18:34 AM PST by daapfe

I AM CURIOUS when will the american people open their eyes to the crazy and misguided ways of the democrap Party. I mean for the last 35 years the left has brought our country from a strong morally found country to a country of well fare and government hand outs, to anti americanism and disgusting policies. For one I think that if the democrats would step aside and let the republicans and libertarians have there way the country would be stronger and better then it has been in 35 years.. Democrats have had there shot.. And all we have for it is the lowest morals and class fighting we have seen in many years..It is time for all americans to open their eyes and let the republicans have a shot at making our country the great strong nation it use to be. We need only look at how the demonazis are treating GW now to realise their true colors. TO question GW at a time of war is a clear sign of DESPARATION. OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICA LET THE RIGHT SIDE HAVE A SHOT...

LOL!

You've been here since December but you still underestimate the power of CHEESE!

Mu-hu-hu-hua-hua-huaaaaa...

Seriously, I don't know, but once cheese become involved with any thread, it goes downhill from there.

Actually, I thought it was a good post, thus my first response.

To get a better (if not useful) perspective on cheese and moose, do a scan on the two. It may prove enlightening...or not! ; )

Would you really like to know why things are the way they are? It is because most Americans are apathetic. They do not know and don't care. Perhaps you have wondered why voter turnout is always low and the creme de la creme of slimeballs, like Daschle, Gephardt, Boxer, Jackson-Lee and Waters keep getting re-elected. There is your answer.

I agree and the sooner it collapses the freer we can all be. The real United States began to die in 1913. The death rate accelerated to an exponential pace in 1965. I think it is too late to turn back the clock and I am not willing to live out my life under the status quo. I want my freedom back and I want it back now. From the ashes of the collapse of the United States there will be a least one acceptable republic that remembers the freedom promised under the Constitution of the United States. I will move to the first conservative state to secede.

The back-alley abortionist lobby, er, the "pro-lifers",

The truth is, there are extremists on both sides. Roe originally was a compromise that envisioned states banning abortion in the third trimester except in extreme circumstances (e.g., the PHYSICAL health of the mother).

But today, the pro-choicers scream "back alley coathanger abortions" at the slightest hint of regulation.

I support both abortion, and abortion restrictions, which is how ALL OTHER health matters are treated. For instance, in no other health matter can a child choose to undergo an operation so easily on her own. Girls are fordidden to smoke, yet can have an abortion.

The activists on BOTH sides are EXTREME and INSANE, and I'm sick of them both.

The problem is that most Americans WANT welfare -- they just don't want to call it welfare. Reagan called it a "safety net." Dubya called it "compassionte conservatism."

And today, though they would never have the nerve to phrase it this way, the Republican't mainstream calls it big government for me but not for thee.

Newt was the last serious attempt to trim govt -- and even he only attempt a trim, albeit a serious trim.

Serious as a coin box in a diuretic's bathroom, alas. (Please - even Gingrich only wanted to cut the rate of growth but not the growth itself, though he did have a way with a good speech.) Newtie and the Blowfish didn't begin the sellout when the Georgia Peach Pit blinked over the government shutdown. They rolled out the pork barrel as far back as 1995 with the agriculture bill...when they restored all manner of farm welfare that had actually expired to no one's real complaint earlier in the year. Now you know why George F. Will, a couple of years earlier, was saying of Gingrich (in Will's book about term limits), "Once upon a time, Newt Gingrich made eloquent arguments for term limits. Now he has become an eloquent argument for term limits.".

Too many people have a vested interest in having the government take from the "rich" and give to them. That's why news articles always say "government" or "Federal" dollars, instead of the more accurate "redistributed taxpayers" dollars.

That's why originally only propertied people could vote. Now those who benefit from government largesse compose a majority of voters, government workers, government contractors, social security recipients, government aid recipients -- we are beyond the point of no return from the ballot box.

The one thing Dems and Repubs agree on is that Repubs are radical tax-cutters and govt slashers. Not true, but both claim that it is.

The Dems offer a huge budget. The Repubs shave a tinny sliver off. Then the Repubs display their sliver and crow: "See this HUGE TAX CUT we've achieved, thus creating MASSIVE CUTS in govt!."

The Dems indicate the sliver and cry: "They're CUTTING US TO THE BONE! Why, that MASSIVE CUT means MILLIONS WILL STARVE!"

In truth, Rush/Bush's budget isn't all that different from Dashle/Hillary's budget. But all pretend otherwise.

The American people will never get it. America is doomed. There are no more free elections in this country. All elections are bought and paid for in advance. People vote for the democrats because the democrats buy the votes. Condit will get re-elected because he is a democrat. I don't know why there is a link between the media and the democrats, but it is there for all to see. You don't here a peep from the media about the NAACP fundraising for the democrats, but Christians are threatened with the loss of tax exempt status for mentioning a Republican's name. 100% of the 9/11 terrorists were muslim arabs but we can't profile muslim arabs because it's not nice. Old white ladies are being singled out in aiport searches so we can show how tolerant we are. Yes, America is doomed.

You're right, bro. I would only add that people have to start jerking the chains of their Republican "leaders" and demand they start leading. There are too many RINOs and too few conservatives in the Republican party. I for one got sick of it, and left the party. I'd vote for a Zell Miller any day before an Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Chris Shays, John McCommie, etc. People tell me that this line of thinking is a sure way to get Dim-o-Rats elected...so what? If the Pubbies are pointing us in the same direction as the 'Rats, only moving more slowly...well, I'd rather not prolong the agony. Let's get it over with and go from there.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

I don't like the Democratic Party or what it has done to America, but when you use terms like "democrap" and "demonazi," do you really think you're going to persuade anyone?

Honestly, I'm generally persuaded not to read any further. It's good to take the high road and a civil tone, especially at the outset.

Too many people have a vested interest in having the government take from the "rich" and give to them.

Yet it's not so simple as taking from the rich to give to the poor. Some politically-connected rich make huge windfalls off govt, while some blue collar workers pay through the nose. In NYC, many tenants on rent control earn far more than their landlords.

Socialism is complex, with the state taking from all, taking a large cut, then redistributing what's left to all. Thus, the citizenry is corrupted, everone fighting everyone else, all trying to come out ahead, all coniving against all others, manuvering to get tax credits and entitlements for themsleves, and increase the tax burden on their neighbors.

Most taxes are paid by the middle class, and most benefits go to the middle class. A newly corrupted middle class, with a vested interest in hiding their wealth and stealing from their neighbors'.

Much as I admire Rush, he's too optimistic about the GOP and about the American majority.

But seriously, Republicans have painted themselves into a corner with support for morality legislation. If they stick to economic issues, they'll win -- they should leave the moralizing for the reverends and priests.

You don't get it. Moral men in government is the only thing that protects you and me from the pathological despots who do not have a fig of concern for anything but power and riches for themselves. If the men who founded this country were not moral men, they would have set up a kingdom -- or perhaps made a deal with King George, for titles & land.

Many in office, or seeking office in this country only have in mind what titles and land they can steal from the vast treasury that has grown from immoral taxation, regulation, and citizen abuse.

The Republican ideal is indeed in a corner -- put there by the self-centered hedonist cretins that fill the cities of this once great nation.

You are so right about the media. My Mom is in her 70's and watches NBC news every night. When we happen to discuss a topic and I disagree with her and can back up my statements she will say "But I saw it on NBC news". I can't convince her that the national news broadcasters are biased and leftist. This is a woman who is highly intelligent and yet is unable to understand about the media's leftist beliefs.

Unfortunately, I've found the big stumbling block where my fellow women are concerned is abortion. Thier position for "choice" has not been very well thought out and although they don't believe in it themselves, they see it as some big token of thier "equality" that if they lose this, than the rest(voting, pay, working, etc) will just slide on down the pike with it. My sex in particular has been so brainwashed and appealed to on thier very base emotional level. I've never seen some otherwise conservative women get so downright defensive as when someone starts talking about abortion and what an evil it is. You'd think by the very notion of challenging abortion, you want to send them back to some primitive reality of womanhood.

Once the majority of children are provided with a meaningful education and rational thought process, the Democrats themselves will become insignificant

Yakboy, I think you are spot on. It is just becoming too difficult to try and reeducate everyone out of the school system, particularly when they aren't even armed with the skills that it takes to think about issues critically. The answer then gets back to we have to do something to get children out of the grasp of the status quo in schools. I'm conflicted over vouchers because of the possible government involvment in homeschooling and private schools, but there has to be a way.
