The American people have fighting in their blood from many generations.
Anyone who thinks Americans won't fight have their turbans wrapped too tightly.

"...the historical willingness of Americans to die for liberty. The first American flag flown by the patriots of the early Revolutionary War was not the Stars and Stripes but a banner showing a coiled snake, with the inscription dont tread on me. Americas latest war for freedom did not begin with a speech by George W. Bush or a cruise-missile attack on a terrorist-training camp in Afghanistan. It began with a group of citizen soldiers on Flight 93 who rose up, like their forefathers, to defy tyranny. And when they came storming down the aisle, it wasnt the Americans who were afraid. It was the terrorists." Thanks fer the bump, RonDog...I don't much cotton to Newsweak's Freakish Leftist viewpoint, but even they seemed to understand this story!! Now, the next step is to convince the Sheeple that the same American Passion fer Liberty and Justice is applicable towards Osama bin Clinton and WE CAN TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!!

Rosenburg, in his cynical way, would think it was nothing but a cheap ploy for posterity's sake. He's a worm, so he wouldn't think people could be so brave or selfless; he couldn't, so can't imagine it in others.

a sad ping

It is hard to imagine the courage and presence of mind that some of those passengers had to have to make phone calls to their loved ones while planning to take action against the hijackers. Amazing, isn't it?
And now sadly some of the survivors, including Lisa Beamer with two small children and another on the way, must also have the same courage as their lost loved ones had to carry on despite the despicable actions of the terrorists.
Thanks for the flag. It's a powerful story indeed.....even IF Eleanor Clift had a hand in it. Maybe she just looked for pictures....LOL.

While waiting for your reply to come up, I saw Eleanor Clift's name as one of the writers... uk! However ( suppressing gag reflex ) I do think we stand a chance of taking the country back. 911 has changed a lot of things that seemed to be set in stone a few months ago.
Since I have had to drive my wife to work since May, I have read every magazine & periodical in her offices several times over, and what stikes me is how so many "burning issues & concerns" of the 1990 period just seem so irrelevant, dated, and passe' now. Gone like smoke!

Thanks for the ping.
Like everyone else, my eyes watered and I became choked up while reading this, but I was also inspired and very proud of these people; average Americans, who did what they had to do with courage and probably full knowledge that they would not survive that flight, but they would not allow themselves and others to be driven to their deaths without a fight. They very likely saved thousands of lives that day.
May God bless them all. They are truly, our heros.

Yep...when's the last time you read a good story on Campaign Finance Reform?! Racial Profiling?! How 'bout Federally-financed Child Care?! Of course, the Left will try to start sneakin' this krap back into the Agenda, but the Right oughtta be able to hit it back outta the Park!!

I will go to my grave believing that these people saved my life...I was on Capitol Hill the morning of 9/11My sister believes the same thing about her son. He works in the Capitol building, and she had called him as soon as she found out the second plane hit the WTC. He got the order to evacuate while on the phone with her. He had just heard that there had been an explosion; that was when Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. She began screaming at him to GET OUT! He did leave, but she was not able to speak to him again until later that evening so she was a nervous wreck all day wondering if there would be any other incidents in DC.

This is a tear jerker. The writer captured Flight 93 in an informative, respectful way. I lost it at the Lord's Prayer.
