Back to the 80s: Get thee to a DeLorean!!

Since so many on here are 'pairing off' into their own generational groups...and I cannot join any of them because I a member of the loathed GenX group, *I* am going to start a thread of my own, featuring MY website. JimRob, if this is not suitable for your site, I understand if you take it off, but I cannot help myself. The others are having just too much fun!

So, my fellow 80s children, what was your fav music/event/fashion/movie from the decade that featured the best darn President of the 20th century, Ronaldus Magnus????

You'll have to go to my website to see mine!! *wink* *wink*!! LOL

I remember the dawn of music video as it's own media...MTV and TBS' Night Tracks...

And Duran Duran's Simon Lebon's less than prophetic announcement that, "Duran Duran would do for video, what Pink Floyd had done for Stereo."

I was born in '69, so the '80s spanned that period of my life when I went from child to young adult. Far too many memories, raging hormones, bitter with the sweet to comment on here.

Great site...

DeLoreans are fine if you like Back to the Future, but if you want a great foreign car from the 1980's, go for the Porsche 928. For less than $4,000 today, you can get a 292 horsepower supercar in either stick or auto, with sunroof, 4 seats, phenomenal handling, a great exhaust note sound, and unique profile. Think Risky Business.

I used to spend every Friday with my best friend Jim watching Miami Vice. And when it came back on TNN recently, I still liked the show. SOme of the episode were bizarre and had somewhat marginal writing, but on the whole, it was a great, well-crafter show.

My fave music from the time was Rush. I played drums in HS and saw Rush a bunch of times and tried to be Neil. Maiden and Priest were good too.

Night Flight RULED...I would fall asleep watching it. remember the Friday Night Concerts with the Tubes and Quiet Riot? WHy can't they bring back that sutff, or sell it on video. I relaize there is no answer to the question.

The 80's were a good time to be into music.
