House Speaker Mike Johnson believes Republicans will retain their narrow majority after the Nov. 3 elections, even as Democrats seek to capitalize on voter frustration and growing concerns about the GOP’s control of Congress.
Johnson said he sees large crowds and strong candidates on the campaign trail, comparing the current political mood to the 2024 election that gave Republicans control of Washington.
“It’s not going to be a giant majority,” Johnson said. “But I genuinely believe that we will have a working majority.”
Johnson is campaigning across the country to defend Republican seats, while House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries is preparing a first-100-days agenda if Democrats take back the chamber.

HOW PITIFUL.
Whish I saw it , but I don’t n’t. I’m bullish about the Senate.
Deporting Omar helps a bit.
If Johnson said anything else, all of the incoming contributions would dry up even more. This is becoming a Musk-Funded campaign.

The odds historically for the House are awful.
I believe we can hold both....if we all get out and vote.
Three of my closest friends were conservative before I woke up around 30 years ago. They all supported and voted for Trump. We were all quite happy when he was elected. They all now feel disillusioned. and I join them. My gut tells me that Republicans are going to get spanked, and hard.
Black vot down everywhere. This will effect Senate races.

I as well as your friends the GOP is going to take a licking... They are the ultimate do-nothing Congress and Party.

“They are the ultimate do-nothing Congress and Party.”
Hey wait a second, the GOPe is great at a couple things, piling a couple TRILLION on the debt every year and taking vacations.
bkmk
No sitting member of either party on the record, let alone speaker is going to openly state they will lose their majority.
If the GOP manages to hold both the house and senate, then there is no way anyone can legitmately argue Trump’s not one of if not the greatest politicians ever.
If the low propensity maga voters do show up in any meaningful numbers then democrats can’t win.. history has shown this is not what has happened in the past.
We will see. Again I am not saying that is what will happen just sayin if it does Trump is the undisputed GOAT.
Personally at the moment I expect the house to flip and the Senate to hold.
We are getting more data in one early vote trends daily, so my outlook could change based on what it shows, but as of right now, that’s what I see. And no, I don’t see some giant wave let alone a tsunami. However I don’t see anything at the moment that suggest the Dems won’t pic up enough seats to flip the house.
My prediction: Dems +20.
We are going to get blowed out, gas prices, beef prices, mortgage rates, love Trump but he’s going to be impeached again also.
