Hopefully, the priest was saying prayers when the crucifix fell on him like a hammer.
To: Beowulf9
Well that’s one for the ages.

Very bizarre and very suspicious. By some chance, was Hillary Clinton there?

First article I saw said his sermon was about the spontaneity of death.
I don’t know if that’s true but if it is...!

If he had been doing a Latin Mass, he would’ve seen it coming.

Arkanside strikes again...
It is rather bizarre but sh*te does happen. Wrong place, wrong time and of course... The priest had nothing to do with his own misfortune, so this doesn’t qualify for a Darwin award.

The tragedy has since sparked questions about how such a large object could fall during a religious service.I'll go out on a limb and say, "Gravity."

No Darwin Award unless he was responsible for mounting the crucifix.
It looks like they failed to fasten it to the wall studs.

Some people believe there is no such thing as chance or coincidence, and that everything has meaning.
That’s certainly possible; but I’m not sure I believe that Creation is that ‘perfect’. Maybe sometimes there’s a glitch and $hit just happens...

The Catholic church I sometimes attend has a large crucifix suspended above the altar.
