‘My whole life, all I do is deals,” President Trump said Wednesday, but Iran’s regime “is from a different school,” he had to admit. “They’re liars, they’re cheats, they’re sick people.” Mr. Trump cited the tens of thousands of Iranians slaughtered by the regime in January and explained how its word has proved worthless. “I don’t want to deal with them anymore,” he said.
The President is so mercurial that it’s impossible to know if he’s serious that the cease-fire is “over,” as he said. He could declare it back on tomorrow. But he’s right that Iran’s regime has been wasting his time. It’s the best in the world at that. Twenty days into the memorandum of understanding’s 60-day negotiation period, nuclear talks have hardly begun.
Instead the regime has worked to conquer the Strait of Hormuz while exporting billions of dollars’ worth of oil. New satellite imagery suggests Iran is continuing construction at its underground Pickaxe Mountain site—a violation of its commitment in the MOU to “maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program.”
This is why the up-front U.S. concession on oil sanctions was a mistake without requiring the revenue to be held in escrow. Mr. Trump revoked the oil-sales license on Tuesday after Iran struck three commercial tankers in the Strait with missiles and drones.
In June Mr. Trump called Iran’s new leaders “very rational people” who were “nice to deal with.” Vice President JD Vance, the lead U.S. negotiator, insisted that even the thugs atop the Revolutionary Guard Corps want to “turn over a new leaf” with the U.S.
This Age of Innocence lasted all of three weeks. Perhaps Mr. Vance will tell us why he believed that and whether he still does. Asked on Wednesday what changed his view of Iran’s leaders, Mr. Trump answered...

Apparently, we don’t have the conventional weaponry to wipe them out and going nuclear would seem like something a nutjob would propose.
We’ll bomb and use missiles until our already strained munitions arsenal depletes further. Then more diplomacy & negotiations........rinse & repeat.

You can kill all the people in the cities, most of whom have nothing to do with the Taliban/Mujahadin/ISIS/ISIL/IRCG or whatever we are calling them today.
Iran is 2.5 times the size of Texas, and 53% mountain fortress with hundreds of subterranean bases scattered throughout.
All they have to do to keep the strait shut down and hold the global economy hostage is launch a missile or drone at a ship once in a while from one of their wack-a-mole bases.
They have no central command. You can pretend that you have killed their leaders for about 15 minutes until the new layer shows up.
Reality is such a bummer.
Any agreement they sign, word they give, hand they extend, is only to stall and obstruct. The people may be nice, but at this point they are the product of multi-generational theocratic lunatics conducting psy-ops and forcing state run propaganda on them. They are broken minds.
