On last night’s The Weekend: Primetime on MS NOW, legal analyst and law professor Paul Butler delivered an astonishing assessment of the Supreme Court’s recent decision on the Voting Rights Act.
Analogizing it to the Dred Scott decision, Butler made the absurd claim:
“It’s like the Dred Scott decision, where the Court said that the black man has no rights that the white man is bound to respect. The Supreme Court is saying that the black voter and the brown voter has [sic] no rights that it respects.”

There are absolutely zero “black only rights” in the same way that there are no “white only rights”.
There are simply only “rights to be defended”.

SCOTUS damaged the racial spoils system that the Democrats erected. The concept of a colorless society is the death knell to DEI, Affirmative Action, contract set asides, quotas, reparations, the whole nine yards. That said, Republicans drew some districts to pack them with blacks to make other districts easier to win.
Hey, it’s not racists when blacks demand special treatment given only to blacks and it’s not racists when blacks engage in Antisemitism and it’s not racist when blacks demand reparations for people taken by fellow Africans to be sold into slavery and bought by the political forerunners of the political partym they now serve ... or is it?
