Why does Lebanon have an army at all? For what use, if they can't rein in Iran's Hezbollah thugs?

I’m gonna suggest that the Lebanese army is either sympathetic to hezbollah or on their payroll.

The Lebanese Army is flooded with Hezbollah and HAMAS sympathizers. There really is no central Lebanese government that can act for it’s own interests.

Iran made sure that the terror army (Hezbollah) is stronger and more fearsome than the official Lebanese Army.

The Lebanese Army neither have the where with all or the motivation to reign in anybody. This is Lebanon’s tragedy. She cannot run her own affairs without approval from Hezbollah/Iran.

IF Iran is reduced to nothing, and as a result, Hezbollah is significantly kicked out of Lebanese politics, maybe, just maybe Lebanon might become an independent state.

I wonder if people are going to raise the hell they did when Israel hit a church?

I doubt it.

Antisemitism is like TDS.

Those within the military probably know who is who. Maybe they can help Mossad/IDF to target who needs to be targeted.

I think the reaction v non-reaction is an admission that we all know Israel doesn’t mean to hit civilian structures but that the Muslims do it deliberately. It’s a given that the terrorists hit civilians; that’s what terrorists do. But Israel is not terrorist so they would feel bad about hitting a church.

The world should explain why it’s OK for Muslims to deliberately hit civilians all the time, when it’s not OK for Israel to hit them accidentally. And that’s where the anti-Semitism comes in. Because there is no excuse for swallowing the deliberate camel while straining out the accidental gnat.

“Why does Lebanon have an army at all? For what use, if they can’t rein in Iran’s Hezbollah thugs? “

Lebannon was a majority Christian country up until the 1970s, when Beiruth was called “Paris of the Midle East”.
Now, it’s a Muslim hellhole, courtesy the Great Replacement, with Hezbollah in power everywhere so there is no reason it wants to rein in its Iran sympathisers.

Same thing can be said in the near future and even now about the UK, Canada, Spain, New York...

Compare the response to this attack on an ancient church to that of the one in Gaza. Crickets from the world so far ...

Do you not remember Damour Lebanon. Let me remind you. Arafat and the PLO plunged Lebanon into "massacres, rape, mutilation, rampages of looting and killings. Out of a population of 3.2 million, some 40,000 or more people had been killed, 100,000 wounded, 5,000 permanently maimed." https://www.conservapedia.com/Damour_massacre

Agreed, but rational thought isn’t the strong suit of the left.

Thanks for reminding us.

That massacre was forgotten almost as soon as it had happened (by Western media and politicians). Not much has changed since 1976. There were no Jews involved, so no interest. Six years later when Christian forces took revenge in the palestinian refugee camps Sabra and Shatila during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon the politico-media complex could not contain themselves; the more victims on the front pages, the better.

Of course not.

Nor did they care when Hezbollah evicted most of the occupants of entire Christian villages (except for human shields) and turned the church into a firing point and storage depot.

Their outrage is selective and thinly transparent Jew hatred.

No word of condemnation from the alleged “Christians” of the FReeper Allahu Akhbar Chorus, which condemns nearly every move by any Jew anywhere.

Let’s see if any of the following ever show up to condemn muslims desecrating a Christian church:

Nitzy
Liz
Mac truck
Angelino97
Hardspunned

It’s fun! Add your own!
