US political commentator and journalist Tucker Carlson claimed on Monday that Saudi Arabia and Qatar had caught and “arrested Israeli Mossad agents planning bombings in those countries”.
“Why would the Israelis be committing bombings in Gulf countries, which are also being attacked by Iran?” Carlson said on his show. “Aren’t they on the same side?”
“Israel wants to hurt Iran - and Qatar, and the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, and Oman and Kuwait,” he added.
Carlson also alleged that Israel deliberately sows chaos among America’s Arab allies.
The American journalist did not cite a source for the claim, which Middle East Eye could not independently verify.
In February, Israeli forces detained Carlson and members of his team shortly after he interviewed Washington’s ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.
In the interview, Huckabee stated that Jews have a “divine right” to colonise Palestinian land and denied Palestinian national identity.
The interview followed a public spat between the pair online after Carlson slammed Israel’s “shocking” treatment of Christians and accused Huckabee of failing to ensure protections for Christians who face attacks from Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank and in Jerusalem.
In 2025, after he visited Palestinian refugees from Gaza in Qatar and accused Israel of murdering children, a pro-Israel advocacy group in the US named Carlson as its “Antisemite of the Year”, citing his opposition to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Carlson’s latest remarks come amid ongoing US and Israeli strikes on Iran, after the two countries launched a joint assault that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, several other senior officials and hundreds of civilians on Saturday.
Around 150 girls were killed in a strike on a school in southern Iran in the initial attacks.
Iran has retaliated by hitting American bases in the region and shutting down trade routes for oil.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it has targeted over 500 US and Israeli sites, using 700 drones and hundreds of missiles.
On Monday, a drone attack caused a “limited fire” at Saudi Arabia's Aramco oil refinery in Ras Tanura.
European gas prices soared almost 50 percent after Iranian strikes prompted Saudi Arabia to close its biggest oil refinery, and Qatar to halt the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Due to the tension, insurance providers have cancelled war-risk coverage for ships in the Persian Gulf.

Cucker is digging himself through the basement floor.
If he has evidence he certainly needs to present it. And if he doesn’t he needs to explain why he said this.
It’s amazing to see the demise of Tucker in real time.

I just have to wonder if there is some substance abuse issues going on with Mr. Carlson. He’s certainly auditioning for residency in a rubberized room.

Easy to believe that some swarthy moose limb financier is providing sacks of floos ($$$) to social-media puppets to plant/rant crazy reports like this one.

It’s incredible to watch these news/celebrities go crazy. Tucker was enjoyable to watch on FNC. Now? Not sure what happened, but he’s nuts. Candace Owens is another. Do they just go crazy trying to remain relevant? It’s sad to witness.

Where in this thread did anyone say that Carlson’s 1st Amendment right should be denied? Did anyone even advocate that he be arrested for what he said?
Tucker was a pretty good pundit, but then tried to be a Biblical sholar and flamed out terribly. His hatred of Israel has destroyed him.
Following Tucker on anything involving foreign countries and American foreign policy has been a dead end for quite a few years now.
I really blame him for misleading a lot of the MAGA movement into isolationism of a dangerous kind.
Last night in the middle of his show Greg Kelly on Newsmax started talking about how concerned he is of a negative report on the Iran operation from our old friend Douglas MacGregor who was also a Tucker regular.
There is a certain cabal of these people they ultimately are anti-American and they misled a lot of patriotic conservatives down a rat hole.
Many here might be loathe to admit it, but likely FoxNews, in his termination, saw the Tucker Lunacy before it became clear to the rest of us.
Who is this American journalist of which they speak? 🙄
