(NewsNation) — “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie is weighing a permanent exit from the top-rated morning show as the frantic search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie, drags into its third week, sources tell NewsNation’s Paula Froelich.
Savannah Guthrie has been on leave as the FBI and authorities in Pima County, Arizona, pursue investigative leads into Nancy Guthrie’s Feb. 1 disappearance from her Tucson area home. It’s believed the 84-year-old grandmother was taken, and media outlets have received bitcoin ransom demands.
“This absolutely came out of the blue, and I think she’s really concerned that it was because of her job,” Froelich, NewsNation senior story editor, told “NewsNation Prime” on Saturday.
‘Signal sniffer’ in Nancy Guthrie search used to detect pacemaker She said Savannah Guthrie reportedly wonders if past exposure she has given to her mother on “Today,” including a segment from Nancy Guthrie’s home, planted ideas in the minds of people “with bad characters.” Froelich says it’s widely known that Savannah Guthrie is well-compensated at the NBC show, which she has co-hosted since 2012.

Very suspicious.
This whole episode shows she didn't care for her mom. Why didn't she have a caregiver/caretaker/bodyguard for her mom?
Who knows? I get the impression, just from the mainstream media, that she and her mom had a great relationship.
I think the sister of Savannah Guthrie lives close by the mother in Tucson? And presumably checked up on her even though they didn’t live in the same house?
Who knows what their family relationships were like?
Who is her husband? What is his history?
This reinforces my belief that this case is not about the money. The perp(s) wanted to hurt Savannah as much as possible because of her Today Show position, and he/they have succeeded.

Back in 2015, I hosted a Trump rally at my home and one psychotic UNINVITED woman posted pictures of MY HOME and thanked my BUILDER. for hosting it. (????!!!!) That could have cost them business!!!!!!
I went ballistic and contacted the head of the GOP here, demanding she get contacted and ALL information about me, my home and her mentally ill post thanking my BUILDER removed.
Took that psycho 2 weeks to comply. I was livid. How DARE she.
In that case it would be personal against Savannah Guthrie.
Then, we all wonder who has it in for Savannah Guthrie, who hates her so much that they would do this crime.
Time will tell once this episode is over, and we learn what happened here.
Off topic, but I do hope there are things behind the scenes that are not publicized , that law enforcement is doing to solve this crime. I know it doesn’t look good that they’ve detained some people, but then those people are not considered suspects, and are released by law enforcement.
Time will tell.

My mom lived alone in her own house until she was in to her nineties. She didn’t want help around. Sisters lived close by if she needed anything.

Prob Nancy Guthrie died early on or was murdered early on. They cannot prove her existence because she is not alive and no way to collect without proof of life.

You’re absolutely right. They’ve pushed everything else off to the point of becoming a total bore because they’re just repeating themselves in endless circles. For example last weekend they would not show Mark Levin because they preempted with more circular reporting.
