Masked Youths Throw Grenade into Beauty Salon in Grenoble, France, Injuring 6 Including a Child
A grenade exploded inside a beauty salon in Grenoble, France, on Friday afternoon, injuring six people—including a 5-year-old child—all with minor injuries. The victims received on-site treatment from firefighters and did not require hospitalization.
The attack took place around 3:00 p.m. when two masked suspects entered the premises on a busy central street, tossed the device inside, and fled. Witnesses described hearing screams followed by a loud blast that shattered the storefront window.
The suspects remain at large, and the Grenoble prosecutor's office has released limited details, with no motive yet identified. An investigation is underway.
This incident echoes a similar grenade attack in the city in February 2025, when 12 people were wounded after one was thrown into a bar (though authorities ruled out terrorism in that case).
In response to recurring violence, local police have increased patrols and are calling on residents to stay vigilant.

How do they know they were “youths” if they were wearing masks?

Now the sticky part is to figure out which terrorist organization is responsible since there are so many in Paris.

Although, from the injury tally, it sounds more like a ‘flash-bang’ than a grenade.
"Vigilant" citizens would then be "vigilantes."
