A Texas judge…ordered the release of court documents detailing the divorce of U.S. Senate candidate and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, months after she filed citing “biblical grounds.”
The disclosures are likely to fuel attacks against Paxton in one of the nation’s most heated Republican primaries as he seeks to unseat Sen. John Cornyn. Whether the divorce details resonate with voters remains to be seen, with the Senate primary set for March 3 next year… which includes Rep. Wesley Hunt.
The divorce comes after 38 years of marriage, during which Angela Paxton had supported her husband through a series of legal troubles, including state and federal corruption investigations. A state securities fraud indictment against Ken Paxton was dismissed after a 2024 plea deal in which he agreed to pay restitution and complete community service, and the Justice Department dropped a federal corruption probe earlier this year. His 2023 impeachment trial ended in acquittal.
Angela Paxton also stood by Ken Paxton's side during that impeachment trial, which publicly exposed his extramarital affair. But in announcing on social media that she had filed for divorce in July, she cited “recent discoveries.”
“What Ken Paxton has put his family through is truly repulsive and disgusting,” National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez said in July. “No one should have to endure what Angela Paxton has, and we pray for her as she chooses to stand up for herself and her family during this difficult time.”
Trump’s endorsement is expected to be a decisive factor in Texas, which he won in 2024 by nearly 14 percentage points. Trump has not yet endorsed in the race.

GOPe will not allow Paxton to beat Cornyn in the Senate primary.
There’s the practiced Obama move.
Angela has slimed her way into the Bush wing of the GOP. The timing and publicity of this divorce are designed to help Cornyn. Those pigs are likely to cost us the senate seat for Ken and then the state senate seat as well. I know I could not vote for her after this.
What on earth is the “judge’s” justification for this?
The Left, both in the Democrat and Republican parties, has the same playbook when it comes to destroying conservatives.

True, but in this case, it’s Uniparty Senator Cornyn, the biggest disappointment in Texas since Tony Romo.
That’s what Obama did to his opponent when running for Senate. Just nasty politics, shame on that judge.

Divorce records are public in Texas, unless there is a compelling reason to keep them sealed.
The Paxtons are not a typical Texas divorce case, nor one involving private citizens with no plausible claim to confidentiality. Ken Paxton is a statewide elected official, upholding conservative family values, in the midst of a contested Senate primary, navigating a period of personal and political upheaval under intense public scrutiny.

They’d never get elected if they didn’t cheat. Remember, 0bama did the same thing against his opponent when he ran for Senator.
Jim Ryan was leading Obama in 2006 so he had the LA Times unseal his sealed divorce records to show he wanted to take his wife, actress Jeri Ryan to an adult club. Ryan got scared off and the rest is history. His favorite ploy in his early years was getting his opponents’ petition disqualified to make it easy for him.
Ah yes, the Obama state senate trick. That’s how he won his state senate office. He had his opponents divorce records unsealed. Apparently there was some issues with swingers scene party fun that went sideways. Not a good look just before an election.
