"We See the Agents as Human Beings"
Chicago Magazine ^ | November 7, 2025 | Edward McClelland

Posted on 11/07/2025 8:06:32 PM PST by PBRCat

Republican Chicagoans believe the conflicts between ICE and the protesters are a consequence of the city's sanctuary policies.

"ICE is trying to get the worst of the worst out of the city to keep them safer. They're getting a lot of really bad people out of our community: sex offenders, drug cartel pushers. I've seen crime go down because of this."

"If the city cooperated with the Feds. ICE wouldn't have to go out into the streets and make arrests."

Democrats who opposed ICE's actions are no different from the Confederates who tried to separate from the federal government during the Civil War, because they objected to the results of a presidential election. The ICE protesters are trying to nullify federal laws with which they disagree.

Gov. J. B. Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson are ginning up confrontations between agents and the public with their anti-ICE rhetoric.

They are insurrectionists.

The protesters are interfering with the law,the ICE agents are impeded by their actions, the Agents are enforcing immigration laws and must not let either of them stay the ICE Agents from their appointed duties !

How are “sanctuary policies” anything other than a direct challenge to Federal law?
Every official who has instituted them and materially supported them should be prosecuted.

The irony is that it is in the democrat voters’ interests to get rid of the illegals who rob them, kill them and take their jobs.

The practice of permitting US Senators to use “blue slips” to approve or block Federal judicial appointments has to be
reevaluated.

No paper filibusters should be permitted. If the members of the minority party want to conduct a filibuster let them take to the US Senate floor and talk for twenty-four hours or lonter.

It is worth noting that 21.4% of Chicagoans voted for Trump in 2024.

Ice needs to cause the Prixster and his buddy Brandon Dumbascrap to “disappear”. I heard Ice is good at that.

The “Copperheads” were a faction of Northern Democrats during the American Civil War who opposed the war and advocated for an immediate peace settlement with the Confederacy. Also known as Peace Democrats, they were influential, particularly in the Midwest, and drew support from those who opposed conscription, emancipation, and Lincoln’s expansion of presidential power. While they sought peace, their efforts were ultimately undermined by Union victories and the war’s end, and they lost political influence.

I’m sure that 90% of the detentions are clean, but every time US citizens are arrested or kindergarten teachers are dragged out of classes in front of kids, enormous damage is suffered by ICE and its mission.

In the nine most heavily Latin counties in northern New Jersey , where President Trump did very well last tear, the votes last Tuesday showed 40-50% swings to thee Democrat. That kind of swing cannot be attributed just to the price of beef.

Latins have been pealed away from the Dems with remarkable success, but I think you’d have to be blind not to see the toll it’s taking at the polls.

A lib Democrat came in first in the City of Miami mayoral primary Tuesday. If she wins the run-off she’ll be the first non-Latin mayor in decades. Her opponent is a MAGA Latin Republican. If he loses it’ll be a major reversal in south Florida politics.

No you aren't. Other wise you would not follow up by pushing lies.

but every time US citizens are arrested or kindergarten teachers are dragged out of classes in front of kids,

Except that they aren't.

enormous damage is suffered by ICE and its mission.

You mean ever time the MSM lies through it teeth and supposed "republicans" not only do not refute those lies but actually push them as "facts", like you just did, there is damage? Well shock!

So why do you do that?

That’s a whole lot of words, but I don’t need the media to tell me what I’ve seen with my own eyes.

Google George Retes. You can see videos of his apprehension and hear what he had to say about it. He’s a veteran and aa citizen. For teachers dragged out of classrooms at gunpoint, you can look up Diana Santillana Galeano.

Meanwhile, the Latin support for the party, which began building under George W. Bush, is evaporating, and that’s fact proven by the election results.
