It was so interesting yesterday when our Great Senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy, introduced a Bill in an attempt to withhold Members of Congress from getting paid, and Rand Paul, who never votes for anything, tried to stop it, because he wanted to be paid! In other words, Rand wanted to pay the people who stopped Government from working! What’s going on with Rand?

Lemme elaborate. One sec Rand hold himself out as this man of principal. The next his true colors show as a man of DC.

He’s nuts. All libertarians are a little off.
He’s a grandstanding asshat.
What is going on is that libertarianism is a luxury belief that one can hold, where there is zero chance of it forming the philosophy of the government. It’s the belief that billionaires would love to govern society so they can uplift the wealth of a country and the jobs and move them where it is most profitable for them to move the wealth and jobs.
Anyone seen RandFan lately?

Rand Paul is a contrarian by nature, much like his father. He takes the position opposite that of the leading powers, not necessarily as a matter of principle, but mostly to gain attention, of which he failed to get enough as a child. And he will do most anything to get that attention.

Follows in the footsteps of his old man who claimed he never voted for a setaside that benefited himself. And, he didn’t. He was known to vote for setasides that benefited others who then voted for the setasides that benefited him.
Rand can be a goof ball but I generally like him. This seems like a bill he would introduce , im rather disappointed he voted against this.
Its become increasingly easier to understand why his neighbor beat him up. LOL
Maybe he was dropped on his head as a child???

Freedom is the ability to not

Because if normal people had the
choice we would abandon the

He was only contrarian when Republicans had the votes. If his vote was needed, he fell in line with the rest of them.
RandFan conveniently missing on this thread. He steers clear of articles that show who Rand Paul really is.
On occasion I pause to think that Rand is drinking the same kool-aid as Nancy Mace. But fortunately, not the flavor that AOC and The Squad are drinking. Bernie is the master blender for the Kool-Aid of your choice. The blends range from slightly left all the way to Karl Marx with 3 shots of Lenin in it to give it real strength.
His speech was just a great big non-sequitur. The people that can do something about the shut down are in the same position that those who can’t do anything about it are in. Gracie Allen could have recited his lines. When he was done, Kennedy had to ask the parliamentarian what he had said.
