I think the biggest picture here is not whether or not this is retribution it’s what Comey did in the first place.
They made up a ‘treason’ hoax and tried to blame Trump for it.
That is the worst possible abuse of power at the highest level.
Treason is a capital offense. If you think about it, what is the ultimate outcome if they had carried this all the way through? Were they planning on getting Trump executed?
