A Southern California mayor is under fire for wanting to eliminate his city’s homeless population by giving them “all the fentanyl they want” — a shocking remark he reinforced by calling for a federal “purge.”
Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris shared his controversial views during a Feb. 25 city council meeting when a resident took issue with the city’s attempt to address the homeless crisis by “enclosing” the unhoused at an abandoned golf course near a residential neighborhood.
“What I want to do is give them free fentanyl,” Parris said as he interrupted the woman’s comments, according to footage of the meeting.
“I mean, that’s what I want to do. I want to give them all the fentanyl they want.”

What a statement that is

We could also purge the community of auto thieves by giving them cars.

That would eliminate a lot of illegal votes.

He’s actually correct. If someone is on that path, minimize damage to civilized society by creating clinics where the self-destructive can do what they have in their minds to do.

The online recall petition has only received 6% of the 20,000 desired signatures as of Sunday night.LOL!
I guess Lancaster likes their "embattled" mayor.

I remember when even the most horrible politician stated things in a way that was acceptable to the majority of voters. Somehow, we’ve gotten to a point where actual real politicians have no filter and say things they might eventually regret. I’m wondering if this lack of filter problem may become self-limiting.

I don’t think it would. In my neck of the woods its all the nice suburban white kids who are dying from fentanyl.

Maybe it’s just me, but that seems to be a tad harsh.

There isn’t a fixed group of homeless in his town, if he starts giving out free drugs he would just be creating a mecca for druggies to run to while creating new homeless and learning there is an endless supply of homeless new comers arriving, (while his taxpayers flee).

By the left’s own reasoning that’s actually kind of an interesting statement.
The druggies are already committing suicide. Some more slowly, some more quickly, than others. The left is gung ho on assisted suicide for anyone who wants to die. Note he said that he would give them all that they wanted. Not that he was going to force anybody to take it.
I think morally speaking it doesn’t differ much from the Canadians killing people who are depressed or handicapped.

“I want to give them all the fentanyl they want.”
What a racist pig.
Fentanyl only and how about cocaine, crack, and maryjane? It’s yellow supremacy pure & simple.
